Threats of Violence and Death Against Doubletree Hilton in Detroit Over Men’s Conference

Dear readers and supporters of AVFM and fellow MHRAs,

We have encountered what we hope and expect will be a temporary issue on our path to Detroit for the First International Conference on Men’s Issues in June.

As we have seen so many times before, gender ideologues who do not believe that any discussion of the issues faced by boys and men should take place unless it meets a feminist (anti-male) litmus test, have resorted to the tactic of threatening violence against innocent people in order to silence free speech.

I am just recently in receipt of a letter from the corporate management of Hilton Hotels. This letter leaves little to the imagination about the kind of individuals we are dealing with, and what their intent is in this matter. It is quite simply to make the conference event unsafe and cost prohibitive through threat and intimidation.

There are two things I need to make clear. One, I have no animosity toward Hilton management regarding this matter. In every interaction we have had with them thus far, they have been professional, courteous and accommodating.

I recognize that they have valid concerns about the safety of their employees, other guests and indeed our conference attendees. I share those concerns. This was clearly a hand that was forced on them, just as it has been forced on us.

To ensure that there is no backlash against any individual at Hilton, I have had the individual’s name who signed the letter redacted.

The other thing I want to make clear is that we have every intention of making this conference go forward. We have never given up on anything we intended to do, and we do not plan to start now. We will not fall silent in the face of fascists and ideological thugs who would use heinous threats to maintain control of a public discourse that is in dire need of balanced, sane change.

That being said, the prospect of 72 straight hours of coverage from 7 police officers is financially daunting. We do not yet know what the costs associated with this will be but are now in contact with Detroit Police to secure those services as well as securing the liability policy required.

It has been said, over and over again on the pages of this website, “First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you and then you win.”

And so now, we are fighting. And we plan, regardless of the outcome here, to keep fighting. We will not be silenced by bullies, nor will we be disheartened by the antics of those we have long known to be morally bankrupt.

Please stay tuned, because we will be asking you to join that fight. There will necessarily be a fundraiser established to help defray the cost of the added security and insurance. Look for that to commence in about 48 hours or so. In the meantime, if you intend to help us with the added costs, please wait till that outreach for funding is officially launched.

If you want to assist now with many of the other abundant costs of this event, of course you will find the donation button at the upper right of this page.

One of the best ways you can support us now is to purchase one of the remaining tickets and to attend the event.

We are making history here, folks. Sometimes, almost always in fact, that proves to be a somewhat messy business. We are prepared to deal with that business and to emerge from it in a new era for men and women in this culture.

“To the Government”? That looks retarded.

Here is a serious question Paul, I would very much like to know what you think.

With 250 people max, we can easily relocate.

The hotel gives us this bill in part because they are under pressure, and for them, it would be best if we bailed out.

But we have no $25,000 to waste (even if it might be nice to make some converts among the police men protecting us.) But we don’t have that kind of money to just waste.

However, we have resolve and we are flexible and we are men. And it is June.

We have made arrangements, we can cancel the hotel but not the flights. So let’s all meet in Detroit. And let’s get a conference space, there is PLENTY of real estate in Detroit I hear. I am sure Dean Esmay can find something. 250 people is not the world. If necessary we can meet under open sky. We can sleep in tents if necessary and our esteemed guests can sleep in a Hotel or Motel. We can meet in a park, on a lake. heck, we can rent a boat for this money!

Paul, please let us consider showing just how flexible men can be. We are all signed up, most of the tickets are gone, and if we make this less conventional, and if we are in open sky, a little less hidden inside the belly of a big hotel, we would have more visibility.

Let`s make this meeting happen, and let us not drain $25,000.

Well if it was possible, moving it to another, more accommodating nearby location would seem to solve a lot of the problems.
I just don’t know if any hotel could arrange something like that on such short notice.
But it is the beginning of thinking outside the box on this.

I don’t think under the sky will work though.

I understand and respect we must make accommodation for elderly and disabled members of our meeting, this makes open sky very difficult. Although, think outside the box … there are always golf-carts, etc.

The heightened drama factor is not such a bad thing for publicity. I don`t think we should just shut up and pay up, that mindset is EXACTLY one of the MAJOR issues we are assembling to stop!

I believe it would be a powerful backlash. To these feminist haters we are nothing but rats. Well, if you try to flush rats out of their burrow, you have them crawling all over your living room! So, lets crawl and be seen!

There are many alternative indoor options for venues. 250 people is not that much. If we were meeting here (a town few hundred miles south-west of Detroit) I would try to get our church to host us.

I also think that we can now negotiate with the Hotel. Because if we opt out from them, they lose their business. That’s something. We can say: “you carry part of the costs or we are out.” I bet if they have something to lose, they will re-assess the threat level.

Doesn’t surprise me in the least, which is why I’m a MGTOW. The few NAWALTS here pale in comparison to the overwhelming majority of NAWALTS out there. Silence is tacit agreement.

I’m personally a YAWALT type anyway. Why? You give women the kind of power they have over men and there’s not a single women out there that won’t use that power given the right incentive and opportunity. It’s not women per se – it’s human nature. I’ve seen it over and over and over. Give someone too much power and the opportunity for substantial gain, even though it may destroy another, and they do it. They destroy the other person. They only time they don’t is when they have too much to lose themselves or when they don’t want to take the risk. I’ve seen this way too many times to believe otherwise.

The whole equality argument is a truck load of BS. The formerly oppressed gain equality from their supposed former oppressor, invariably gains advantages and then punishes whoever was stupid enough to give them equality (the people that freed them from oppression). It’s always worked this way folks. Wake up.

Everything is misogyny now. Misogyny has been equated with racism. Hence everything you say regarding women will be considered misogyny and hate speech. Welcome to the new, PC terrorist world. If you’re not saying something positive about women, you’re now a misogynist – even when you have genuine grievances.

The only way to do this is MGTOW en masse. But since men aren’t able to control their willies, that will never happen. Hence, men are doomed. Women know this.

Women are not the prize people. When will men wake up (rehtorical).

“MGTOW – Men Going Their Own Way – is a statement of self-ownership, where the modern man preserves and protects his own sovereignty above all else. It is the manifestation of one word: “No”. Ejecting silly preconceptions and cultural definitions of what a “man” is. Looking to no one else for social cues. Refusing to bow, serve and kneel for the opportunity to be treated like a disposable utility. And, living according to his own best interests in a world which would rather he didn’t.”

The question is, does society’s respect for your sacrifices to it as a veteran, get trumped by society’s vitriol against your participation in the men’s rights movement?

  • TefExpat

Not since IMBRA have feminists gone to direct battle with men. That was to stop access to loverly gracious women. Now its just to shut you up.

The Conference WILL happen. It HAS TO happen. Fuck feminazis. Fuck them. It’s time their reign of terror comes to an end. We must remain united against feminism and its hatred and violence. My best wishes to every single person who will be at the Conference and its related activities.

Every disempowered group has a terrorist element. Every single one. It really means very little, except that disempowered groups of people always have a terrorist element.

    • Kendall

Are Native Americans not a dis-empowered group? What is their terrorist element?

      • Josh Daley

Leonard Peltier and the like, I suppose. The vocal members of AIM make themselves targets for the label as well, and you’ll find that they’re often labeled as terrorists.
