While it is still not proven, some information concerning this website was posted to a thread on Reddit at the start of the weekend. If true, it will probably become one of our biggest stories of 2013.
It appears, according to one “redditor,” they attempted to access this website from the Wi-Fi hotspot at one location from a restaurant chain, and found a message telling them the site was blocked because it was a “known hate site.”
Again, we do not have this story confirmed, which is why I am not mentioning the name of the chain of restaurants, nor do I even want them mentioned by name in the comments, until we have proof this is happening.
Site management, if anyone posts the name of the chain anywhere on this website or on AVFM Forums, please remove it immediately and place that user account on moderation.
This is an American national chain in 33 U.S. states, as I count them; a chain that does $200,000,000 in annual revenue.
Needless to say that if we find there is truth to this story, and they do not expeditiously cooperate in correcting the problem, Fucking Their Shit Up will ensue on a scale that will make the University of Toronto breathe a sigh of relief.
I will be contacting when and if proof is acquired. In the meantime, here is a link to a map of their stores:
As they do not have a location in my city, I am requesting that MRAs within convenient distance from one of their locations pay a visit and attempt to access this website through their hotspot. If the result is positive, a screen cap of the blocking message would be much appreciated.
Addendum: The store in question has been identified as being in Boulder, Colorado, though we still need documentation of the block on the site.
