The Parsemus Foundation has announced that an anonymous donor is willing to match any contribution dollar for dollar until the needed $37,000 is raised.
This came along with another announcement that the cost of the baboon study, which is the last step before clinical trials, currently under way, is going to cost $20,000 more than the original $60,000 planned.
“If we raise $37,000, the baboon study will be fully funded and the $37,000 match will help us undertake steps required by regulators” read the press release dated January 3oth. “That way we can begin moving toward clinical trials as soon as possible. Make your contribution go twice as far and help us fund Vasalgel’s development today!”
The baboon trials started on January 20th after the Parsemus foundation received over $40,000, giving them the confidence to proceed. The increased cost came about when they learned that another baboon was needed to ensure additional safety testing would be satisfied so clinical trials on humans could begin later this year as hoped.
