APOLOGIES: DUE TO ILLNESS THIS SHOW HAS BEEN POSTPONED TILL NEXT SUNDAY, JANUARY 17.
Modern western society is seeing the emergence two new political factions. There is the “new” libertarians, which are represented in the new media by iconic figures like Milo Yiannopoulos, Lauren Southern, Sargon of Akkad and others.
They are pro-freedom, brazenly anti PC and scathingly critical of leftist ideology — including feminism.
Then there is what is increasingly being called the “alt,” or alternative right, a smaller but growing faction of ideologues pushing autocratic theocracy, white nationalism, oppressive control of women and the control of men with shame. In their ranks we find the likes of RooshV and Ramzpaul.
While it is clear that there is a distinction between the two groups, the latter being rife with psychopathology and the other not, there is an overlap that is now starting to blur the lines with increasing and alarming frequency.
Nowhere do we see this more evident than in the current talking points about Islam, Muslims and terrorism.
It is a complicated subject. First, Islamic inspired terrorism is a thing. Second, the vast majority of Muslims are not terrorists. With the ever increasing pressure from leftist ideologues to deny the former and the growing tendency of alternative thinkers to overstate the matter in compensation, where do we find a realistic, healthy balance?
That is the next show from Better Call Pauls, hosted by Paul Elam and Paul Batey. We will be joined by special guest Dean Esmay for an hour of controlled fireworks over this controversial subject.
The show starts at 6 PM Pacific, 9 Eastern and 1 PM Sydney Time.
