I am really toast, and now I am going take a couple of days to sleep — provided I can come down off the cloud I am floating on. Yes, the conference was THAT good, and another is planned. There will be many more details about that and about our next conference in the days ahead and I look forward to bringing that to you.
As we might expect, however, the presence of the mainstream media, complete with shallow, clueless and uniformed ideological hacks who have no plans on ameliorating their ignorance any time soon, was what I would call the only low point. But of course, that low point was not really a low point in the conference. It is just another low point for the legion of kids (cheap labor) that have taken the modern media into the trailer park of journalism.
Apologies to trailer parks, but you get what I mean.
Here is a recent twitter comment from Time Magazine’s Jessica Roy, who approached me with the same song and dance employed by most low rent hacks who want to convince me that unlike the hacks that came before, she is different, for realzes. Why, she never even heard of James Fell.
Ahh, a SJW in all her hateful glory. Wonder what kind of article she is going to write?
Let me remind readers, especially new ones, who might get the wrong idea from biased and yellow coverage by the likes of Roy and Fell. It is ultimately a good thing. Currently the public trust in mainstream journalists is about on par with the public trust in Congress. It has been that way for a while, and looks not to be changing. Also predictable enough given so many “journalists” have matured just about enough to be plagued by bad acne, is that she is clearly basing her work on what her friends will think about it.
What Roy will do is send a lot of people our way, some of whom will bother not to just take her word for things; who will actually read the articles on the website and figure out that Roy is a biased bullshit peddler with an agenda who has lied to them. Her status as a liar and a bigot will be exposed as surely as it is in her twitter exchange with fellow haters.
Knowing that this type of journalistic scumtardery is precisely what is driving more people away from places like TIME and into places like AVFM, I only have two things to say.
One, thanks Jessica. I am glad you found the win-win of perpetuating group stupidity, and for the donations that will hit AVFM for exactly the same reasons.
The second thing is even simpler. Just be sure to spell my name right.
