Yes, that is correct, the the Equal Treatment Bench Book recommended that half the population, based solely on sex, should get lighter sentences for the same crimes than that other half.
We are the ones putting an end to oppressive gender roles. So I suggest that is what we let them know, and that we point out to them exactly why they are nothing more than a continuation of the old paradigm, enforced with shame and bullets.
These are men who practice chivalry. White knights are males who defend women, but not because women are people – which might be noble. Rather, they defend women only because they are women.

In truth, the practice of women dressing in “sluttish” attire outside the context of parades through Toronto’s downtown, is purposeful. A woman dressing in a deliberately sexually provocative style is flaunting her sexual power over men. She is saying, in a language older than any spoken or written:
“I am an object of sexual desire, and I am a person of protected status”
Similarly, one would think, when it becomes apparent a malicious false accuser maintains the farce, shows no remorse, the accuser should be prosecuted to the fullest extent. Doing so would certainly deter others from doing the same, except perhaps those from planet Bonkers.
