If you missed the International Men’s Issues Conference in June of 2014 you missed an astounding event. Lucky for you it is now online and viewable. The consistent theme heard during the event was that the old narrative is woefully inadequate and is being replaced with a new one that extends greater compassion and choice to everyone, not just a select few.
Men’s human right’s activists (MHRAs) frequently debate partisan stances on a variety of topics. But there’s a more commonly-shared goal within the movement. The Ace that trumps partisan positions is the securing of a greater and better range of choices for men and boys.
“Going Your Own Way” has for years been a slogan in the men’s movement for men who refuse to be defined by social convention or be told what to do.
