Slutwalk Hamilton happened June 1.
A feminist event where three other people and myself were going to offer a different point of view about rape and rape hysteria culture.
As I understand it, ‘slutwalk’ is a protest event to stop common sense advice, oops I mean victim blaming, and to stop men from making comments when some women go out looking like they were auditioning for a job with their local pimp. And rape culture.
Where the hell is this alleged rape culture?
I know of no one nor know of anyone who knows someone who thinks rape is ok.
Since this is about what all was happening in Hamilton that day I’ll forego delving into rape culture for this article. Suffice it to say there is no feminist defined rape culture, there is only rape hype created by feminism.
The week before Slutwalk Hamilton, Jeb and I had hit the streets with our (AVFM) Men’s Human Rights Movement posters and my other favorite public service announcement tool, common sidewalk chalk. I figure me and Jeb put in about 5 miles worth most nights and on the Friday I checked him in for dog sitting during the day, and went out on my own, covering about 10 miles. Our last run was at 5 am on Saturday morning we did another 5 miles.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from this slutwalk crowd. Were they going to be like the University of Toronto feminist protesters with clones of ‘Little Red Frothing Fornication Mouth’ chomping at the bit ready to screech the latest rendition of ‘feminism is your friend.’
Which when analyzed via the common sense lens translates to;
‘Cowshit lie for both sexes.’
Or were there going to be Hollaback Un-Sluts armed with liquids and glass hyped up to ‘def-con 4,’ ready to launch at the slightest insult to a woman’s fashion choice?
Protests, in my experience, have a fluid nature. Emotions are usually running high, and crowd mentality for the most part has no conscience. People can and do engage in activities they would never do alone but because the person on either side of them is doing it, they will as well.
Read violence has an increased probability of happening in protest situations.
Given the recent events at the U of T the feminists in Hamilton could get a little testy, and enter into that crowd mentality. So I tried to go over every scenario in my head a few thousands times beforehand and make plans on how best to reduce the probability of getting attacked, for everyone I was going to be attending with.
I realize I just femi-slutwalk-sinned by protester blaming, but in life, if you wish to ensure your personal safety, taking precautions is not victim blaming.
It is advice plain and simple, some call it common sense.
I knew that one of the organizers made a civil response to my announcement of planning to attend.
In Slutwalk Hamilton organizer Ashleigh’s video, she did not call us rape apologists, misogynist or any number of childish names commonly used. I must admit I was taken aback by that. In my experiences the MHRM is described as the societal devil himself. She did however spout the same old feminist narrative, which is to say a heavy verbal white wash of blame everything on the feminist defined ‘patriarchy’
The lack of name calling and outright lies about the MHRM is something I felt deserved a respectful but firm deceleration of our intentions.
With that in mind, about a day before Slutwalk Hamilton I let Ashleigh know, via email, how we would be protesting their’s. I informed her we would be taking up a stretch of sidewalk in front of Hamilton City Hall. The area for their event or ‘safe space’  located at the front of City Hall was about 2500 square feet, we would only be taking up about 150 square feet outside of their ‘safe space’ on publicly owned city sidewalk. I also informed her that I would be recording audio at all times and only taking video of overt aggressive behavior or illegal activity and keeping our camera angles down to about 20 feet around us.
And the response put forth by those non ‘discriminatory’ feminists who claimed they wanted to create an inclusive event, was to write some propaganda and post it on their facebook page; (I am going to reproduce the opening line and where the MHRM is mentioned to keep things honest.)
“Hello all! We’ve been working hard to put together a great, inclusive event (bold font mine) this year with speakers and info tables from some of the fabulous organizations working in our community to change the conversation and end rape culture.”
“There have been some concerns from the community about a counter-presence of anti-feminists at this event. For safety and security of attendees, we ask that you do not engage with these people at the event if at all possible. The goal of this group is to provoke/incite a negative response in order to post videos misrepresenting supporters and organizers of SlutWalk specifically and feminists and survivors of sexual violence and harassment in general. We would like to create as safe a space as possible for our fellow survivors and supporters and will be taking preventative actions to do that. If you witness any behaviour disrupting or distorting the SlutWalk message, please let one of us know (we’ll have big Ms on the backs of our shirts) so we can deal with it.
Nikki, and the slutwalk organizers, claimed they want the event to be inclusive and then goes onto prejudge the MHRM. No evidence, no questions, just blatant bigotry and prejudice.
You go Nikki I am sure your friends and family are proud of your prejudicial ways and bigotry.
Open question Nikki;
Do you judge people by the colour of their skin as well as their sex?
There was one interaction between Nikki and our group, it went as follows;
A couple of women interested in our refutations of this feminist dogma broadcast at this event stopped and listened. As soon as Nikki realized this she came over and tried to dissuade the two women from having an open discussion on the subject. The two women followed Nikki for a bit and then one came back to listen to the facts we had with us from various government entities.
We also had interactions with the local feminist flying censor monkeys,
Here they are in action

Bless their ideologically driven brains, they really do need some help with critical thinking skills. That being said it does warm my heart knowing that words and ethical ideas scare these people that much. I would report their threats, which I have audio of, but given how the Hamilton police ignore crimes by feminists, it really is a waste of time around here.

Next up was the co-opting of our protest area by a couple of porn friendly feminists. Here is a picture of them and their signs.

Aren’t these two sweet?
Not satisfied with the 2500 square feet they were given the use of by the City of Hamilton they felt entitled to take over our space as well. They should be rewarded for being purveyors of common sense, not to mention how entrepreneurial they are.
At least that is how I am sure this little incident will be explained by feminists.
Next there was some engagement with man holding up an interesting sign.
re-think sexual values blurred

“Re-Think Sexual Values” is what his sign said, I thought “great maybe this guy knows what he is talking about.” Perhaps  a chance for rational exchange of ideas.
Not really
When dialogue started he immediately launched into feminist rhetoric, to which I replied with government studies and statistics. Completely disregarding the fact I mentioned they were government generated reports he let me know he didn’t care about ‘my’ papers.
My papers?
Somebody please shoot me, twice, for that is the same reply Jason received when he tried to engage the man too.

We did not do the studies, did not tally the questionnaires and reports. We had no hand in that nor did any of the MHRM.
What we do have a hand in is bringing these government statistics and peer reviewed studies to the public’s attention. The very same public feminists either forget to mention the facts and figures to, or intentionally hid the facts and figures from.
The last bit of interesting incidents from Slutwalk Hamilton was they had Jeff Perera there as a guest speaker. For those of you who do not know Jeff he is a spokesperson for the White Ribbon Campaign and has a TED-x video out that is fairly popular.
I and some of you may know Jeff a little differently.
My first run in with him was from my article on Steph Guthrie. A Toronto feminist who penned a myopic view of the MHRM about 6 months ago. Part of the article was a recorded call to the White Ribbon folk where I asked a few questions of their employee on the other end.
The replies I received were pure misandric garbage with the stench of feminist propaganda.
When the majority of the festivities were finished I went up and introduced myself to Jeff and had a little chat with him.
Now given the fact that the person who answered the phone at White Ribbon was spreading false information one might think that a promise of ‘It will never happen again and we are updating our information” would be expressed by Jeff.
Wrong.
What did happen was Jeff tried to shame me by stating how it was not cool to ambush call the White Ribbon line and record it.
Sorry about your luck Jeff and White Ribbon.
When you put out lies which could potentially cause further harm to a person, I and for the most part moral and ethical humans around the world don’t give a shit about how the evidence was discovered.
What if I was in an abusive situation and looking for help? The answers from the White Ribbon employee would have been the same and would have left the caller feeling even more helpless and further victimized by yet another government-funded misandric organization.
One last parting thought about the day, That is what we didn’t do. We didn’t engage in shouting matches, we didn’t follow slutwalk attendees into their event and chant outrageous lies about or disrupt them, we didn’t scream STFU, we didn’t sing in a mocking way when told about rape victims, we didn’t censor their posters or quote mine them.
And we didn’t trip any false fire alarms trying to censor this feminist event.
What we did is use common sense in every situation.
