Maine Prosecutor Coddles Known Child Abuser

In Pursuit of False Rape Claim

WASHINGTON, March 30 / P.R. Newswire / Victim advocacy group Stop Abusive and Violent Environments (SAVE) has filed a Grievance Complaint with the Maine Board of Overseers of the Bar, requesting the disbarment of assistant district attorney Mary Kellett. The Complaint can be seen here: http://www.saveservices.org/wp-content/uploads/COMPLA1.pdf

“Thanks to prosecutor Kellett, proven child abusers in Maine know they can get a free pass by making a claim of rape,” explains Philip W. Cook, SAVE spokesman. “Mary Kellett has prosecuted many innocent citizens on allegations of domestic violence and rape. The Board of Overseers of the Bar needs to disbar prosecutor Kellett immediately.”

The case arose from the accusations of Ligia Filler, a proven child abuser with a previous criminal charge history. “The children were victims of violence from their mother,” including hitting her oldest daughter with spatulas and spoons, according to a December 3, 2009 Ellsworth (Maine) District Court ruling. One son said that his mother “would hit everyone in the house. She was a terror to everybody.”

After Ligia’s husband Vladek indicated his plan to leave the marital home for the safety of the children, Ms. Filler had an apparent mental break-down, running through the streets partially clothed, screaming death threats at police officers on the scene.

Ligia made an allegation of marital rape, and within few days prosecutor Mary Kellett filed charges. No forensic, medical, or other physical evidence of sexual assault was presented during the trial. Assistant district attorney Kellett repeatedly sought to bar the introduction of key evidence that would serve to exonerate the defendant.

Court-appointed attorney Neil Fishman later commented the proceeding was so flawed that it resembled a “Salem Witch Trial.” On September 9, 2010 the Maine Supreme Court issued a ruling that found Kellett had “improperly encouraged the jury to use the absence of evidence regarding the marriage ending and a child custody dispute…as a reason to reject Filler’s defense.” The case was remanded for a retrial in May.

More information on the case can be seen at http://www.saveservices.org/abuse-hysteria-campaign.

    • “THIS” is activism!

Are we going to be blog interlopers, pissing and moaning about the condition our condition is in, or are we going to actually do something, anything to help?

This is the question that you have to ask yourself everyday.
How deep down the rabbit hole do you want to go?

The divide between lingering on the outskirts of this, posting a few comments now and then…and directly contributing to the effort, is a HUGE one that you have to commit to bridging.

All you have to do is ask, “What can I do to help today?”

      • I must admit that Ed is very good at organizing these things, BUT, it becomes a real problem (shooting ourselves in our own collective foot) when MRA leaders like Ed say things like, “VAWA has done a lot of good.”

You don’t kiss up to and agree with the lies of gang-molesters to achieve and “in” and make headway.

      • Keyster,

I would have donated to Glenn Sacks AND to Ed many times over, BUT the thing that holds me back is how they are “shooting ourselves in our own collective foot” when MRA leaders like Ed say things like, “VAWA has done a lot of good” or Glenn Sacks says ridiculous things like “Feminism has done a lot of good…”

Any alert MRA can now list a few more at least doing this, and they more often than not standing out front of our movement, asking you to buy their wares and donate… I like most of what these two say and stand for. It’s JUST THE ASSKICKING they then alternately and chivalrously give men and fathers and their children which turns me off.

OR – they banish you for telling the simple truth, such as Glenn getting all but-hurt over telling that the majority of divorce murders of women are the direct and VERY WELL orchestrated result of both those women AND especially the system backing up all their non-stop abuse that drives most of those murders due to no help for those fathers AND THEIR KIDS (Sacks would rather attack the fathers for reacting to end the abuse the only way possible, and attack the other men standing up for those truths…) – or – attack you for drawing the many parallels between feminism and Nazism and other totalitarian regimes using the same blueprint historically. Those simple “truths are offensive.”

It’s too bad that the most effective/aggressive MRA’s like these sell us out at the same time as they put in these grand activist efforts which could be even more effective. Did Dred Scott tell us how wonderful slavery had been, but now it has served it’s purpose???

The storm troopers are comming to haul you away for telling the truth and our most “effective” action based MRA’s are not standing in their way, but chivalrously supporting them.

Watch the baseball segment in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkH_aaaSOP0&feature=email&email=comment_reply_received – Hardly anyone gets it that the gender roles are reversed right down to portraying the man as entitled and abusive and the woman getting chewed out for getting assplanted by the entitled man.

Many of the traditional cultures have accumulated much societal wisdom over their long histories. I believe that in Saudi Arabia it requires four male witnesses each with high character credentials to get a rape conviction. I used to believe that the law in Saudi Arabia about rape was unfairly patriarchal and insensitive to women. Currently, it increasingly makes sense to me. I don’t see such change occurring in the West certainly not in the short term. Long-term, I don’t see Western and American societies remaining stable or semi-stable. There will be a social collapse. What social structure emerges is anyone’s guess.

    • B.R. Merrick in reply to Aharon

Whatever society emerges will only last if it’s created and maintained by people who have had practice in standing against this garbage. I think this little exercise is going to be quite instructive for all of us.

I hate to say this, but how much do you want to bet there was some sort of abuse in her past, and she has since decided to make it her mission in life to make EVERY man pay for it…innocence be damned.

Someone ought to look into that.

    • You have raised an interesting subject. Aggression or anger are two of the faces of fear and fear comes from hurt or pain.

However, there is the question of how real is the source of her anger or fear? The source can also be female hysteria angry at the world of men from her belief that males ‘oppressed’ women or women with her personal preferences in relationships. The source can also be a woman believing in the feminist indoctrination ideology that has little to do with facts and reality. For many people, they thrive on the belief they are a victim as it excuses her behavior. The source can be a mother telling her daughter lies about her father. She may simply be an opportunist who is primarily building her career and putting men into prison is just an amusing side to her game.

I’m not trying to make any claim about Kellett since I do not know her particular situation.

Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0
    • I have to respectfully disagree for a number of reasons. First, I agree it is very likely that Ligia Filler has abuse in her background. Seems unrealistic to think otherwise.

But in all frankness, I don’t care. The woman is a criminal, a violent, lying, child abusing criminal. I think what we need to look in to for this woman is a cell with gray steel bars. If they get her counseling there, fine, but she owes a debt for her crime.

Had it been Vladek Filler running down the street telling police he was “going to kill all you motherfuckers,” he would have been beaten, cuffed, beaten some more, locked up, beaten some more, tried, convicted and forgotten.

In a perfect world I agree with you, Izzey. In a perfect world I would love to see this society get behind exposing and dealing with the abuse that fosters so much violence and criminality. But Ligia Filler has already had a thousand more breaks and hand holdings than she ever deserved, all at the expense of an innocent man with the aid of a corrupt and equally abusive system.

In my book, prison for her, and nothing else. And they can put Kellett in there with her.

Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0
      • I agree and not only should both Ligia Filler and Mary Kellett be put in prison as a measure to punish their criminal behavior we must make a stern statement that this kind of abuse of our legal system wil not be tolerated in the interest of justice and the public.

Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0
      • This case is just a key example of what has become a pattern with Ms. Kellett. That if someone claims a man either sexually assaulted them or was violent towards them, she presses charges automatically by default, no questions asked.

If the case goes to trial, she hides the accusor behind VAWA and/or rape shield laws. In a world of “he said/she said”, the woman’s word against the man is all Ms. Kellett needs to prosecute the man.

Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0
      • I would LOOOOOOVE to see Mary N. Kellett locked in a room with Ligia Filler…

I wonder if Mary N. Kellett would raise an objection – after all – Ligia Filler is a victim right?

Why would she object if she really believes that Ligia Filler is the innocent here…

I think I’ll send her an E-mail asking that question now…

      • If she was abused as a child, it’s heartbreaking, but guess what? Being abused as a child does not give you a pass to terrorize others as an adult. She’s now no better that the adults who once abused her. She appears to be a foaming at the mouth danger to herself and others. Having listened to her 911 recording, she seems to be a good candidate for a penal lockdown psychiatric facility. She also seems to be in need of some elephant sized dosage of industrial grade antipsychotics.

It’s very useful to understand WHY criminals/predators like Ligia do the things they do, but we shouldn’t let the reasons why they are the way they are become excuses for the way they are.

Perhaps Ligia is an abusive, violent psycho because a family member molested her as a child. That doesn’t negate the fact that her behavior is criminal and ought to know better. She should be locked up for any crime she commits just like anyone else who breaks the law. Just like any man would have been locked up if he’d done the things ligia perpetrated. Period.

Mary Kellet definitely ought to know better and seems to have aided and abetted this apparent dangerous psychopath, speaking of crimes.

    • Maybe, maybe not. Society teaches women, as well as everybody else, that men are worthless.

Many people,as children, have burned ants with a magnifying glass. Just because they could, not because ants had done anything to them.

This is the price men pay for allowing their negative portrayal in the media,I believe. When we stand up for men, this sort of behavior among women will vanish and false rape claims will take a steep dive,I’m certain of it.

Take an ideology which says that group A can do no wrong. Add to it the qualifier that the fact that wrong things happen is because group B is doing it. Massage in with rationalization’s, propaganda and ideological deception justifying hatred and fear, apply consistently to a species evolved from competitive and violent primates, in a captive environment, (academia, etc. ), and you get the Mary N. Kellet’s of the world.

That’s why I often say that the ideological slippery slope leads to fascism. This stuff takes on a life of its own after a time and tends to magnify into something truly extreme and unjust. Some in the ruling class can also be counted upon to strategically assist it, they seem to like fascism a great deal.

Just imagine the mind of Lidia when she was presented with the option of 1. either owning up to her own failure as a wife, mother and human being, or 2. denying her culpability and instead using the state to persecute her husband, thus keeping her sins hidden.

What do you think went through her mind at that moment? Now, expand this to every feminist, mangina and what we are dealing with is societal-wide evil. Evil is the only way to describe using deceit to harm another human with no justification other than to mask ones own crimes.

The West is due for a major shake-up, a housecleaning of epic proportions. My position as an MRA is to ensure they do not make us the scapegoats, and to do that I keep pressing the issues and never once waver.

She has got to be stopped, there is no two ways about it.

Someone needs to stop this woman quickly for every bodies sakes (not least

Ive heard the recording of Ligia Filler laughing like an un-hinged maniac, and threatening to kill Vladek, as well as threatening to “cut into little pieces” the attending police. If a man made any such statements to police – there is no doubt in my mind that they would have shot him. He’d be dead, and wouldn’t have merited further mention. That Ligia remains at large, that the case against Vladek continues – is crystal clear signal that the culture is deeply confused and far removed from reality. I only hope that the wake-up call, when it comes is through legal reform and not through widespread violence, rioting and killings of public officials.

  12. I have no doubt that there was abuse in this woman’s past. But that sad story never did fly with men doing out of line shit. I notice how that is a bit more celebrated when it is a woman doing violent anti-social acts. “I heard her daddy molested her”. Can’t tell you how many times I have heard men and women say that about a woman that blew a gasket.

I like to think what was caught on the recording alone will be her downfall.

Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0
    • @Sir Oliver: “I have no doubt that there was abuse in this woman’s past.”

I have no doubt there was stuff that could pass as abuse in your past, in everyone’s past. Scoldings from Mama, or Daddy, or Gramma or Pop-pop; slap-downs from older siblings; bullied in school.

All grist for the psychiatrist’s mill.

A forensic psychologist, one who works with crime-victims through the family court system, can very easily elicit “psychological evidence of abuse” in anyone’s past. One could probably present “valid courtroom evidence” that you, when you were forced to eat zucchini as a child, were “criminally abused by the zucchini. And your mean parents.” And Mary Goebbels Himmler Kellett would turn this into a forcible rape charge and bring the zucchini to “justice,” with a smile on her face.

A child-whiny “victim” carries childhood grudges into adulthood, and trots them out as an excuse whenever it might win them brownie points and do them good.

An adult, a true grown-up, grows up.

The sad fact is that not all men are able to just pick up and move to a less anti-male environment, and for the men who are stuck, this is the reality: that men will be further marginalized and mistreated because the powers-that-be know we are trapped.

    For now.

Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0
  14. Stu

I think the fact that her possible past abuse has even been brought up, without any evidence or claim having been made about that even, just shows how ingrained the desire to make an excuse for a woman is. We will offer the excuse even when the claim is not made.

I’ve gone totally against excuses. I call it excusitis. When you have a bunch of excuses ready for people to use to get totally off the hook for their actions, then those excuses become the reason people do bad things.

Every woman in a western country knows now that she can commit violence and abuse of all sorts in the family, and in public, and even premeditated murder, and she has a pretty good chance of just having it all swept under the carpet if she claims some sort of previous abuse in the past against herself, without proof. That has got to be the biggest motivator of bad behaviour from women that there is and ever was. How many children have and are being abused, and even killed by their mothers, because the mother knows she can literally get away with murder. That’s something all these do gooder manginas who seek to excuse every womans act of violence should think about, they are enabling and encouraging more and more women to act on their impulses and anger and commit crimes, knowing that the system will excuse them.

At the very least, having such an exuse should never mean you do not get charged, or convicted. It should only alter the type of punishment you receive, and only if there is proof. Every decision the police or courts make to take any action should be based on proof. Nothing should be considered without proof in a court.

It’s just a total joke how our legal system works now. Real evidence barred from admission, total speculation and lies admitted as evidence. The provable actions of the victim class ignored, the false accusations of the victim class taken as gospel.

Our legal system is rotten from top to bottom. Even honest fair minded people in that system are forced into acting and playing by the rules set down by a pack of liars and scumbags.

Judges, lawyers, prosecutors, they are all witch doctors now. None of them beleive in truth, or right and wrong as a reality anymore. Everything is just perception and legal mumbo jumbo. I think your average lawyer would go to court and argue that the world is flat for the right fee. And the judge and jury would go along with it if his arguements were presented skillfully. Of course all the evidence that the world was round would have to be ommitted. The logic with a system like this is, if I can make the world legally flat, then the world is flat in reality. Witch doctors.

But reality can not be altered by procedures in court, or ideology, or belief in fairys. Reality and facts exist, and it’s supposed to be a courts job to find the truth, not someones version of the truth, there is no such thing, there is one truth, and everything else is untruth. Reality is fixed, and can not be altered by belief in something else.

It’s funny how as we progress into a more and more technologically complex world with marvels and wonders of scientific achievment all around us, the legal profession seems to be going backwards to the way of thinking of salem witch trial Judges.

      Exactly my point.

Imagine if people treated male bank robbers in this manner, and every time someone robbed a bank, there were a line of prosecutors, judges, media people and ordinary people saying “Oh, poor guy, he must have been really hungry to rob a bank, I think he’s suffered enough.”.

There would be no banks, because very few people are going to pass up the opportunity to steal a bunch of money if they can get away with it.

In most cases, these people are greedy ,not hungry. Sure, being hungry is one reason why someone might rob a bank, another reason is a drug habit . Our knee-jerk tendency to constantly paint females in the most positive light possible is contributing to the moral, and economic decline of this country.

How much taxpayer money that could be feeding the homeless or preventing suicide goes to false rape accusation wild goose chases?

    @Sir Oliver

Your statement……..”I have no doubt that there was abuse in this woman’s past”

This is representitive of the problem. You have no doubt? So what your are saying is that without any evidence of this woman being a past victim, you have no doubt that she is, based solely on the fact that she is a bitch, liar, abuser, and is victimising others. LOL Hate to say it, but isn’t that exactly the kind of thinking the feminists promote. A woman doing very bad things is proof that she is a victim, and the bigger the bad things, the bigger the victim she is.

Not hanging shit on you, just pointing out that even with us super anti manginas, some of the feminist indocrination has embedded itself in our thinking.

Anyway, like Paul said, it doesn’t matter. If someone shoots me that was abused as a child, I’m just as dead as if someone done it that was never abused, and I have just as much right to justice either way.

You just jogged my memory. My small amount of legal studies, business law as part of my accounting diploma. The teacher said pretty much those same words dozens of times. Students in class were constantly objecting to the outcomes of various cases studied, and she had to keep pointing out that the law is not about what is fair or right, it’s about what is legal. More importantly, it is about the outcome you obtain.

Yes they were, but it was the truth, the law is fucked up. The teacher was a big fat butch leso bull dyke too lol.

In another subject, Applied Business Comunications, also taught by a leso man hating bull dyke, but a skinny one lol. We watched a few movies, office type scenarios about communication in the workplace. They were drenched with examples of sexual harrassment and these were pointed out often. Given the teachers appearance, attitudes, and the fact that she introduced herself as a feminist, and make frequent reference to that thoughout the entire course, I knew how to get top marks lol

When writing an essay about one of the training movies, I just filled it up with crap, demonisng the men, and offering the solutions to all the problems they created or could not deal with…….turn over power to the women…..and praise every female in the movie. I got 100% for my essay, and she asked me to stay after class the day essays were marked lol. No, she didn’t want to blow me lol, but she did recommend that I pursue studies in writing rather then accounting, because I had the kind of style that is highly valued in academic circles lol

So, semi illiterate me, is a kick arse writer because I spew out misandry. Oh well, I suckered her anyway lol

Yes, and I think that women are even more prone to use victimhood as an out then men are. Men see victimhood as weakness, and so are reluctant to pronounce themselves as victims even if it is true. Women see victimhood as strength, because so many “strong independant” women subscribe to victimhood. Man crying victim is seen as weak and pathetic, woman crying victim is seen as having the strenght and courage to speak out.

I have literally listened to groups of women sitting at a table and being almost in competition with each other to see who is the biggest victim, who has had the worst ex husband, boyfriend, who has suffered the most. It’s like a badge of honor to them.
