Bangor Daily News Blows Kellett Story

I was left thinking one thing after reading Bill Trotter’s article in the Bangor Daily News.

Not good enough.

I am as pleased as anyone that a loyal member of the MSM machine actually published the fact that there are serious concerns being expressed about the integrity of the prosecutions emanating from the Bar Harbor, Maine prosecutors office. That is especially true considering the alleged targets are male and the prosecutor is a woman and the alleged crimes are rape and domestic violence.

But as I read I got this feeling that I was being tossed a bone and expected to take it to the corner of the room with my tail wagging.

Am I the only one who noticed that the headline of this piece had nothing to do with the real story? Why is the headline about a change in venue when we have complaints filed against the prosecutor in the case; the same prosecutor whose ill-gotten conviction of Vladek Filler was overturned, citing prosecutorial misconduct?

Why no mention of several things that are a matter of public record?

Ligia Filler is a known child abuser.

Ligia Filler was the only proven or even credibly alleged person to be a violent assailant in her marriage.

Ligia Filler is a proven liar that has already been caught in false accusations of abuse against her husband.

Where is one shred of investigative intent in the article?

Bangor Daily News has just done a broad daylight cover-up of this important story. It’s a bait and switch headline with BDN hopeing you don’t much notice the switch part.  Think they don’t know that “official complaints against prosecutor” in a headline will get a bunch more readers…and interest?

It’s a pussy pass for Kellett.

Also, by tossing out the name of a few websites, pointing to our anti-feminism, they hope to cast a shadow over this in the minds of their blue pill readers.  You think adding a slogan “Curing Feminist Indoctrination,” was an accident?  Antimisandry.com is the only name of that site I know of, and other sites mentioned there have slogans, but perhaps not as politically useful to BDN.

I am as happy as anyone for the exposure, but I am still thinking the same thing.

Not Good Enough.

Mary Kellet and the entire Bar Harbor’s prosecutors office is the story here. So is the state of Maine and its unusually misandric policies around rape prosecution and primary aggressor laws – which are beyond the pale.

So is the story of men and boys in western culture in general.

Again, I laud the fact that this activist event didn’t meet it’s usual untimely end.  But we are not pets waiting for table scraps.

Bangor Daily News needs to cover this story. It is their community; their men and boys and their god-damned responsibility as instruments of free speech in an open society.  They have what looks to be a person who might be more sinister and corrupt than Mike Niphong at loose in their front yard and these people are playing politics and word games.

This website and A Voice for Men Radio are going to stay on it.  I apologize for the lack in variety here of late, but, for lack of a better term, this stuff is why I came to the dance to begin with.

See you all tonight.

Never apologize for pursuing what is right. Those of us that have articles, should not be concerned about anything but the issue at hand. It is why we are here. (I think I can speak for most)

My mother called me a few minutes ago to tell me something she just read in a magazine–

“How to handle stress like a dog–

    If you can’t eat it
    Or play with it
    Then piss on it

    And walk away.”

Bangor Daily News has just taken a piss, and walked away.

    See you at the dance.

  3. Paul, no don’t apologize for staying on a topic like this. This is what AVFM should be about,as I see it: We see feminist-misandrist bullshit going on we don’t ignore it and we don’t “just let it go”!

The costraints of politcal correctness have a death grip on all major media, as can be seen by the blatant ommisions of the facts about Filler, pointed out in this article. This woman is a derranged tyrant. It truly is horrifying that men in this country have been so silenced that she is largely unchallenged.

The problem is censorship and the ignorant masses. The government owns the media. The government, as with all governments, competes with men. Men are watchdogs. Women are lapdogs. Governments love lapdogs and seek to stamp out and silence watchdogs. Didn’t we just see what happened about 70 years ago in Nazi Germany when the government censors the media? CNN, along with the rest of the mainstream media, needs to be toppled. Political correctness is an instrument of cultural Marxism. The government is pressing biological buttons of the people (such as victimhood and provider-protector hard-wired archaetypes) to secure its own agenda. This is freaking nuts!

The title implies that he did in fact RAPE his wife.

In the title of the story alone, he is already GUILTY.

Take this from someone who’s dealt with the press before:
You cannot control how they publish your story! All you can do is point them to it and the instant they take it up, it has a life of it’s own. I don’t remember a single example where somebody got their story published without being upset about how distorted, exaggerated or down-played it was.

The fact that they publish it and that he mentioned men’s rights in a way that suggests they might need more consideration is the best we could hope for from any one reporter. I knew that when I wrote to him.

Any publicity is good publicity in the long run.

Kellett is getting a pussy pass.

This is one of the most pressing problems with women getting any kind of authority – no-one holds them to account. I don’t believe any women anywhere has ever been criminally charged and convicted for lying about paternity, even though both husband and child are victims of a serious fraud.

God help us if they ever get mandatory slots on company boards – or rather, God help all the shareholders and male board members. When they start going rogue, like Kellett, the courts, press, politicians and police are all useless.

    I have to ask.

Does BDN not have an editorial section? And can we not address the points they missed in that avenue?

The facts speak for themselves. Mary Kellett has made it a mission to punish as many men as possible whether they have actually done anything at all.
That the state has thus far allowed this sort of “justice” free reign means that no man in Maine is safe. Not a single husband, brother, son, or father.
And, not just from vindictive exes or parnters, but any woman passed over for promotion. Not from casual flings that you didn’t know had a boyfriend or husband, the list goes on.
Yet even in the face of evidence showing someone to be innocent Mary Kellett will break the law just to prove a point and ruin countless lives.

Oddly, I have yet to come across any feminist bring up how this false accusation has affected the Filler children……..
What those hairy bull-dykes DON’T say says more about what they really stand for behind their touchy-feely slogans…… Children are only important when they can be trotted out to get more money. More, money to destroy families.

It’s true, the article was disingenuous and could be seen to make a veiled discrediting of mens rights supporters amongst the already indoctrinated. A few years ago however we couldn’t even get mentioned in the MSM except for open derision. This article wasn’t as blatant, Does it signify that they’re worried about us or being more careful in what they say about us?

I never assumed we would find allies in the main stream, they’re all driven by base assumptions anyway. But if they’re even a little apprehensive about us, then we must be having an effect. I guess it’s time to get even more intense, back em’ into corners, until they openly fight us or become nervous and back off.

No need to lose morale even if we face constant contempt. We fight for balance and justice therefore, we fight until we win.

    • Put the story out there. Send letters to the Governor, the Maine Bar, any newspaper that might be sold in the Bar Harbor area. Give ‘em a steady shit-storm, but don’t get crude and don’t sound rabid; “more in sorrow than anger” is a good slant. So is Sergeant Joe Friday’s – “The facts, ma’am. Just the facts.”

Here’s a link to the SAVE Services complaint. It is dispassionate but no less damning for that.

Please – instead of a mere “comment” (which may not even be viewed by anyone but the few self-congratulating people who read the story on line), hit the “SUBMIT” button in the overall banner and address your comments to the General Editor of the newspaper.

Letters like this might be worth writing, especially if there’s a full-out shit hurricane of them. I’m sending this one to the local paper, the Ellsworth American (news@ellsworthamerican.com). Go, thou, and do likewise…..

“Small-town America” is the kind of place where people know their neighbors, and look out for each other. It’s a source of pride, along with down-to-earth values and sensible people running the local government.

Unfortunately, it can also be a place where “people know each other’s business” enough that an ambitious public official with an axe to grind can make hash of a person’s life and reputation, to further a world-view that may be completely off the wall. And I’m afraid that’s happening in Ellsworth, where a rogue assistant D.A. is showing evidence that she wants to slam every Ellsworth man who looks cross-eyed at an Ellsworth woman, for domestic violence, sexual assault, and rape.

The Vladek Filler case is in the public eye across the USA. Assistant DA Mary Kellett is guilty of such flagrant prosecutorial malfeasance, in persecuting Vladek Filler on no evidence but the specious say-so of his unstable and divorce-threatened wife, that the Maine Supreme Court took little time at all to require a re-trial. But Kellett is scrambling, scratching, kicking and gouging for all she’s worth to disallow any evidence that would show Mr. Filler’s innocence of trumped-up charged brought by a profoundly disturbed and proven-abusive wife. Furthermore, she shows a long and dismal record of similar persecution against men who run afoul of her office.

Mary Kellett is a dark and odious blot on the court system of Ellsworth, of Hancock County, of the state of Maine.

Yeah not perfect, not what you wanted, but it never is.
(I’m amazed anything was said at all.)

Remember journalists are fit to form.
Much like actors act like actors and writers write like writers, journalists report like reporters. The angle was “request for change of venue”, but the message was between the lines…there’s something wrong with Kellett.

Must have patience in these matters, work the system, play the game.
The media is your friend and can be as maleable as a dog, if you give them what they want in return for what you want.

    • Reality Check:

So our erstwhile reporter in Bangor tells all, rakes the DA through the coals while not sparing a single detail about everything as it’s unfolded and as it is.

And what do ya suppose happens to said reporter next time there’s a huge case in the works? The DA office shuns him, denies access…he can’t do his job if the DA won’t talk to him. Not to mention he works for an employer who depends on advertisers that might support this DA or other local politicians. You never give people the actual REAL news! Just the “pretend news”. The “safe” news.

We have a “free press” to the extent you can’t be killed or put in jail for saying something. But you CAN be destroyed in very covert ways. The press corp is corrupt, worse than ever since it competes with cable and now bloggers (who have nothing to lose).

The more daring “edgy” reporters risk their livelihood. The others play nice. I can’t imagine how a guy ends up reporting for a newspaper in Bangor, Maine; working the beat for maybe $40K a year in a dying medium. One thing is certian, if that’s where you are, you don’t want to piss off too many people in power…especially if your male.

  19. Even the title of the article states that Mr. Filler has been convicted. He has in fact not been convicted because that conviction was overturned. So then, he is not a convicted rapist and by stating that he is a convicted rapist they are committing libel against Mr. Filler and while I’m no lawyer I would certainly pursue an action against the newspaper.

Yes Factory. There are ways of making some economic pain. For instance, I would not buy or rent a house in Maine, which would mean I would not be doing my shopping there, and if enough people (men) new about the risk they were taking just by being in that area, then some economic force could be brought to bare. Come to think of it, if I don’t buy a house there, that means my wife and kids don’t live there either………..now that would make a dent in the local economy lol

Economic sanctions only have the affect of changing anything though if the target is aware of the reason. It’s like MGTOW, in a way that is like an economic embargo on women lol. But how many MGTOW inform women that the reason they will not commit, etc, is because of the laws. This is part of the reason that the response from women on finding it harder to extract resources from men, is to make more laws to make it easier to extract resources from men lol

When I first read the article I thought, it’s still painting this guy as a guilty man, but where proper procedure or due process hasn’t been followed. But, people who read the article might do some more research, here for instance. Yes we need to keep the pressure up. This article is a start, but it falls a long way short of the damning write up that I’d like to see written. I don’t have any knowledge of the writer of the article, but, he is in the feminist dominated politically correct msm. I can see how he has to write in a way that does not do him out of a job. I think we probably have a lot of allies in the msm that have their hands bound the same way. If they come out and write something like…….”Man hating lying bitch prosecuting innocent men by the dozens while feminazi boss cheers her on” Well, it might make one hell of an article, but it would be a one shot deal, and we’d never read another one from him. That’s if it even got to press. Lets face it, you can write what you like, but it will only get printed as long as nobody higher up objects. It must be tough trying to walk that tight rope.

This is why the MRM and the internet is so important. If we could promote someone like Paul into the MSM and they had ratings “because” of their anti feminist stance then someone like him could get away with saying and writing anything they damn well wanted. It’s the Charlie Sheen principal. If clean cut church going politician comes out and says they snort a kilo of coke a day off his girlfriends back while he’s banging her in the arse and his wife licks his nuts…….he’s gone……all the way down to the tenth basement level of hell. If Charlie Sheen fesses up to the same…..he gets a standing ovation. It’s all got to do with what people expect from you…….go against their expectations…..and your toast.

  28. Most certainly a cowardly article indeed. So watered down and shifted blame off the issue at hand. I know that once upon a time reporters and journalist had back bones of adamantium and blew shit wide open when they smelled injustice and lies. Now they are just spineless larva with no credibility for the truth and a lack of nerve to print it. Playing it safe as to not offend the marxist feminist machine has never been more dangerous.

The news article is somewhat weak. I did my bit in the comments section but talking to these people is like talking to a brick wall. They claim we’re blaming everything on women because they don’t like the message that the justice system screws men, and that feminist women’s groups which agitated for this state of affairs are mostly responsible.

I’ve seen this before, because I talk to a lot of people. Those of you in the mental health profession will probably recognize this phenomenon as “denial”. When a problem is egregious enough, people shut down and pretend it isn’t there and will even go so far as to attack the one who says there is a problem.

I put the facts out there and I will just let them sit there for people to investigate and accept or reject as they please. If they reject them, it is because they cannot deal with them emotionally or mentally, not because it isn’t factual or logical.

It is the same story we have always seen. The second we start advocating on behalf of men, certain women who either don’t care or don’t want others to know and view an admonishment of one woman’s immoral behavior as an attack on all women and their white knights come out in full force, people like Centaurmyst using any trivial thing they can latch onto as an excuse for why they will not stand up for the rights of a man that are clearly being trampled when they weren’t going to do it anyway in the first place.

It’s the same battle we have always fought, people, and we will continue to fight it even if we do eventually get the recognition of our issues that we seek.

But we don’t fight this battle because it is easy, we fight it because it is just. Justice is never easy. We must continue to fight, no matter what it costs us, because when my son looks into my eyes one day and says “Daddy, teacher says I’ll grow up to be a rapist.”,I don’t want to experience the shame of having never done anything about this. If I fail, I fail. But at least I could give him a hug, and say “No son, you won’t be a rapist, you’re gonna be a good man, just like your father.”.

  30. As others have duly noted, you should NEVER apologize for pursuing the truth and eradicating falsehoods.

One thing I’ve really never understood is how a husband can even rape his wife to begin with. Is consent not implied within the marriage vows, or is it only consensual when you feel like it? I highly doubt a man could ever get away with saying that his wife raped him, yet we see the reverse all the time. This is yet another instance of how western society is so far from being fair. Catering to a group that has ALWAYS been protected by society even more than usual and giving them special privileges over everyone else is the kind of imbalance, unfairness and perversion of all things good that screams to the heavens for vengeance.

God, help us all from the shallow claws of feminism and it’s misandry.

Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0
    • My own personal position is that, yes, consent is implied within the traditional marriage vows, but we no longer have traditional marriages and even then such an argument probably wouldn’t fly.

No sexual activity should be forced on women when they don’t want it,even if they agreed beforehand to do so, even when they didn’t want to.

That is why scrapping marriage is a great idea, and I believe it should be replaced by very specific contracts that specify a delineated time period of cooperation or consent, say 10 years, and very specific activities the woman will be engaging in such as giving birth, sexual activity, household chores, what-have-you.

This is the only way to completely cover a man’s ass in the current climate of legal insanity, traditional vows to “love, honor, and obey….in sickness and in health” will not keep a man from being falsely accused of rape by his wife, but a specific contract in which she agreed to the sexual activity she claims took place,as well as criminal investigative measures such as forensic and dna evidence and video documentation, will at least partially do the trick. You get a feminist judge or prosecutor, though, and even such an airtight establishment of innocence will still be attacked.

  32. Eoghan

Although this has probably been or will be covered, the free and community type newspapers tend to be less politicised.

The fact that the media and the state has cozied up together will no doubt empower the campaign in the long run because it makes the story bigger and the campaigns hand is forced to learn ways to circumvent them.

  33. Bang’her Daily strikes again and blocks comments about the Filler case. I guess they don’t like what they’re hearing. Google Bill Trotter and you find his facebook page listing the local police departments as his favorites. How on earth will someone like that ever reporter anything against his favorites. If I was the editor, I would be troubled that one my reporters is an advocate for the same police departments he’s assigned to cover.

The voices of men

James Huff has a lot to say, but he is tired of just talking. In this excellent essay he draws us a diagram of activism and places our responsibility right in the middle of it. This is what an MRA looks like.
