Abuse Hysteria in Maine: The Ghost of Michael Nifong

During the early hours of March 14, 2006, a group of Duke University lacrosse players allegedly raped and sodomized a Black woman. Over the next 13 months, the sleepy town of Durham, North Carolina became witness to a succession of prosecutorial accusations, full-throated media warnings, and castration marches.

On April 12, 2007, the state Attorney General declared the three lacrosse players innocent of all charges. Two months later, prosecutor Michael Nifong was disbarred on grounds of engaging in fraud, dishonesty, and deceit.

Maine’s criminal justice system is on a mission to stop domestic violence. This certainly would be laudable if the effort was:

Grounded in Valid Research

Women are as likely, if not more likely, than men to initiate physical aggression with their intimate partners, according to hundreds of studies by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and other organizations (1, 2).

Compliant with Ethical Principles

According to the Maine Board of Overseers of the Bar, “A prosecutor has the responsibility of a minister of justice and not simply that of an advocate. This responsibility carries with it specific obligations to see that the defendant is accorded procedural justice and that guilt is decided upon the basis of sufficient evidence.” (3)

Respectful of Civil Liberties

The Bill of Rights guarantees certain rights and protections to American citizens, including equal treatment under the law, due process (such as right to a fair trial), and probable-cause before arrest (4).

Unfortunately in the State of Maine, none of these hold true in the area of domestic violence. Indeed, the situation is more grave than what happened at Duke University because it has persisted over a far longer period of time and has harmed the lives of many more persons:

1. Prosecutorial Misconduct

Assistant District Attorney Mary Kellett has prosecuted dozens of innocent citizens on allegations of domestic violence and rape. She has flagrantly violated the above-stated ethical principle to be a “minister of justice.”

2. Supreme Court Action

One of the persons falsely accused is Vladek Filler, a father, small business owner, and long-time resident of Maine. On January 15, 2009, Mr. Filler was convicted on three counts of assaulting of his former wife, Ligia. But 21 months later the Maine Supreme Court ordered a re-trial on the basis that ADA Mary Kellett had sought to exclude key evidence that would have served to establish Filler’s innocence (5). More information on the case can be seen here: http://www.fillerfund.com/

3. No-drop Prosecution

Many prosecutors in Maine follow a “no-drop” prosecution policy. For example, one District Attorney promises on her website, I will “vigorously prosecute all cases” (6). Such policies flaunt the Board of Overseers ethical requirement that prosecutors not pursue a criminal charge “that prosecutor knows is not supported by probable cause.” (7).

4. Predominant Aggressor

The Maine Criminal Justice Academy has developed a curriculum for law enforcement personnel, “Identifying Predominant Aggressors in Domestic Violence Cases.” A SAVE analysis of the curriculum concluded, “Given its numerous misrepresentations of fact and dubious recommendations, the Maine document cannot be viewed as a credible law enforcement resource.” (8)

Every false allegation, every wrongful arrest, and every trivial prosecution takes away sorely needed services and protections from the real victims. We are calling on Governor Paul LePage and representatives of the criminal justice system – particularly policemen, prosecutors, and judges — to assure truth and justice are safeguarded in the State of Maine.

Want to stem false prosecution? Make it cost the government too much. Sue into submission states/provinces which incarcerate innocent men. Publicly tell their stories, including the violence and actual rape that they can be subjected to on the basis of false allegations.
As companies will promote lesser qualified women so as to not be subject to lawsuits, it makes sense that governments that wish to be re-elected won’t be willing to loose votes over tax increases to cover the cost of rabid attacks on innocent men.

    • I don’t have millions, but I bet there are thousands that can spare some coin to stir the pot. (I know I’d be more likely to kick in for this at the grocery store than for another womens shelter)

Remember Honour, and Integrity are male concepts, and feminists have used this to their advantage. It is about time we turn the tables and use their tactics that have been successful against them. Damn the lack of integrity, if we don’t stop the assault on men then we have no freedom and all honour and integrity will be worthless. No one cares how honest their slave is, only that he remain a slave and she free to punish him anyway she sees fit.

One reason to have a small amount of hope for Canada. Despite the many anti-male laws.
“NAC received much of its funding from the federal government until cuts by the Brian Mulroney government in the wake of NAC’s opposition to the Charlottetown Accord forced the organization to lay off its staff and cut its budget. The cuts continued during the Jean Chrétien government and, in 1998, the group largely ceased operations for a time after Status of Women Canada, a department of the federal government, ceased granting money for day-to-day operations. NAC soon accumulated debts in excess of $100,000 and was forced to close some of its regional offices [4]. Although NAC’s activities were greatly reduced through the 1990s into the 21st century. NAC has revived and renewed itself in recent years and is primarily funded largely through donations and membership fees”

It was a good day when the government stopped taking my money and using it to demonize me.

    • You win when you make your adversaries pay for everything you do against them. A battle and war is not won by brute force alone, it is won by strategy like a game of chess with force applied sparingly. You need to out think your enemy to win against them. Our own money should only be used very carefully as seed capital to ensure we can reap the benefit of what we sow and not have it washed away by forces of our adversaries.

The Book of Five Rings explains strategies that can be applied here very effectively.

  2. That is very well laid out, bravo. We need a larger list of who and where to distribute this too. Government officials at all levels, police, lawyers, judges, media, churches and other organized groups. Other ideas?

Can I copy and paste this post and send it everywhere?

    • “We need a larger list of who and where to distribute this too. Government officials at all levels, police, lawyers, judges, media, churches and other organized groups. Other ideas?”

This looks like ground-level stuff to me. It appears to me that the best place to distribute would be at the site where this charade is going on. Namely, the lobster state.

Coffee shops would be a good start, because people who frequent them are generally there to read and pass the time anyway. Any websites that focus on Maine specifically are another good place to go. We need to get the people of Maine alerted to this.If we get the people who are closest to the issue on our side, the fight will be easy.

Also, go above the heads of the prosecutor and her Sith mentor,to the governor if you have to,but again, AFTER the people on the street are wise to what’s going on.

That’s what I would do. I’m kinda new to activism,(I’ve done a little work among friends and family and friends of friends for various causes) though, so if any of that is misguided or wasteful of resources let me know where my reasoning is flawed for future streamlining of my efforts.

    • I live in Maine.

The best place to distribute anything, and reach the most amount of people would be in Portland’s Old Port. The courthouse is nearby, and the amount of foot traffic is tremendous. People that frequent that area would be more likely to get involved in something like this.

Portland is pretty far from where Kellet is (Southern Maine) but it’s more populated, people here are more up on current events and politics as a rule. The other more densely populated area is Bangor, and that’s a bit closer, but I’ve no idea on specific areas to look into.

Seeing their pics on the other thread…I now understand why most people think women in Maine are lumberjack lesbians….but I promise we don’t all look like that lol :)

I can vouch for that, in tasha’s case.

Not that there is anything wrong with being a lesbian .. or a lesbian lumberjack or an unattractive lesbian lumberjack.

Whats really is unattractive is the hate that this woman has and the fact that the state is allowing her to use it to run this campaign. There are enormous similarities between progressive tactics and southern progressive tactics circa Jim Crow.

          • For example here is the instructions to send to a local printer and I do not understand a word of it.

            How to Prepare Your Files

We require your files to be properly prepared for print, to ensure that your order is fulfilled smoothly, please follow these guidelines:

            Bleed & Trim
1/8″ on all sides of the document will be trimmed off, this is called the bleed. So the size of the file that you submit needs to be 1/4″ higher and wider than the finished (cut) size. Make sure that all background images and colors extend into this area to avoid having a white frame around your design.
            Safe Zone
Additionally, please adjust your text and important graphics to be 1/8″ inside of the finished size on all four sides.
            Colors
The file needs to be in CYMK color not RGB
            Resolution
The resolution of your file needs to be 300dpi
            Submitting Files
We prefer a pdf file (1 file for each side), if this is not possible please send a psd, ai or eps file. Make sure all fonts are converted to outline. After making your order you will be prompted to upload your print-ready files.
            Blacks
Rich black ( 40% Cyan, 40% Magenta, 30% Yellow, 100% Black ) should be used for large areas of black and will give a deep solid black finish.
100% black ( 0% Cyan, 0% Magenta, 0% Yellow, 100% Black ) should be used for small black text (12pt and smaller) and lines, this will result in crisp text and edges.

So for example if someone could explain or make up the pdf files that I could send for the anything good jpeg and the toxic masculinity one I would then send them to the printers.

Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0
          • I would also like to take these and have them made into mini “bumper stickers” capable of a split removable backing to post in bathroom cubicles, etc. Quick and easy to apply.

Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0
          • You should be able to send these files as-is to the printer, unless they require you to supply a .pdf or illustrator file already laid out in an 8-up or 10-up.

In fact, all you should have to do is say “Here’s the files, I want 100 of each”. You’re not the damn printer…they are. They should do their own damned job.

As for bleed, that’s again for a full page pdf or the like. Business cards are cheap and easy. Hell, Illustrator comes with templates built in already.

The bigger issue here, which no-one wants to look at,cause its ugly at its core, Is gender-raunch feminists are not getting “Empowerment” from the inherent virtues of being gender-Raunch. Gender-Raunch are getting “Empowerment” by stepping on the heads of heterosexual males, and they are using the legal system to do it. This would seem bizarre if it were not the truth.

Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0
    • Most feminists don’t consider raunch culture feminism but rather a media creation, most feminists consider ending raunch culture a feminist goal.

Given that, the spamming of mens movement sites with anti “gender-raunch” messages looks an awful lot like appropriation and/or blaming the patsy.

How convenient it would be for feminism if mens rights began to think that the enemy was a media creation that feminism wants gone.

Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0
      • I’m not sure though I suspect, IMHO, gender-raunch is a feminist + media + Hollywood = creation. I think the femi-nazis and the new new left pc-types use the raunch culture to further destabilize and poison society. Sure, the witches can say it is their goal to end raunch someday yet for now it is a convenient tool. That someday is the day government steps in even more massively than today to re-educate everyone to feminist-government values.

I have noticed among the MRM blogs seeds planted in the form of suspicious comments by feminists in an attempt to slowly change MRAs views on a variety of issues.

BTW, I find the misandry in the Family and Criminal Courts a feminist + government = creation

The feminists are out of control with DV BS. I just got done watching a you tube video of a speaker at a DV conference called Robert Jensen (a male feminist) who talked about ending “men’s violence against women and children.” Interesting that he would even bother to mention “and children” considering even by most Abuse Industry statistics its clear that women are not only responsible for the majority of the cases of child abuse, but they are also responsible for more cases of child murder as well.

In college last semester I was forced to eat my lucnh under a feminist propaganda poster that said something to the effect of “every week 3 women are killed by a male partner.” I look forward to the day when we care enough about children, the most innocent of all victims, to put up posters across the country that state “every week 3 children are killed by a female parent.”

The gender-Raunch community is a mixture of what can be called “Gender-feminism”, which can be characterized as their main focus and goals are re-evaluating gender roles, re-evaluating sexual mores, gender is a social construction , ect, ect ect.
“Raunch culture feminism” is what Eli levy coined in her book “Who stole feminism”. If you mix the Gender feminism and Raunch feminism together, you have what is the now dominant form of feminism which is “Gender-raunch feminism.”

OK, after reviewing a couple of dozen of your posts, you seem intent on coining the phrase “gender raunch.” Fine with me, though I think there are much better ways to do it than repeating it every time with multiple posts in a comment section.

At this point I think the redundant use the term in multiple short posts has a diminishing effect on the quality of our comments. Please exercise the courtesy to consider this in the future.

The most distiguishing event in modern times that charecterises the profound differences between the “equality feminism”of 30 years ago, and new “Gender-Raunch” feminism is the latest “proffessor Raunch” Event.
A few weeks ago we read about “a proffessor with a saws-all with a dilodo attached to the end of it, taking it to a womens vagina AS A CLASS PROJECT.”
The Equality feminists of 30 years ago would have marched full force saying “This is sexual objectification of women”, and we want this “professor raunch” to be fired immediately. Modern Gender-Raunch see this event as further liberation of gender-sexual roles, and see this as “Empowerment”.
Maybe eli levy was one of the few keen observers of modern times when she posed the question “Who stole feminism”??

This is completely off-topic,but Angry Harry has given us a smoking gun that shows at least one women’s advocacy group purposely inflating statistics in a way that negatively impacts men for the express purpose of making off like bandits with over one million dollars in taxpayer money, using bogus sex trafficking hysteria. These stats are apparently being accepted as gospel and parroted by the MSM and the methodology that generated these stats is so astoundingly stupid and flawed you have to read it to actually believe it.

Every MRA should be aware of this, because we’ll be hearing this shit from the mindless femmie drones soon enough.

    http://www.villagevoice.com/2011-03-23/news/women-s-funding-network-sex-trafficking-study-is-junk-science/

This is a BIG,BIG,BIG stick that you can beat any feminist stat-parrot with. “1 in 4 women are raped, huh? Did they by any chance arrive at those numbers the same way they got these ?”

As if the MRM didn’t have enough challenges, there are now White Nationalist types trying to co-opt the MRM. They essentially say that the MRM will get nowhere unless it rejects MRAs of color.

Y’know, because it is colored guys, rather than feminism, that make white birth rates go down.

Fortunately, these people are not taken seriously by anyone.

  22. On-line editing. Love it. Excellent poster idea John! Make sure she gets a copy and her boss!

I hope nobody will mind my making some suggestions from my years of experience in legal matters and distributing 10′s of thousands of flyers and creating many of them. I would change this part to read like this.

Wanted for: Full Criminal Investigation into; Malicious prosecution, ….

    Seeking charges for: Malicious persecution…..

Remove She had flagrantly and instead say, She has allegedly violated the above-stated…… You might be ok to say, To all external appearances she has flagrantly…. (Be careful not to accuse her of something that is not yet proven.)

The Notice part. You may get into serious trouble for seeking personal information about an individual which is malicious in nature. It would be much more powerful to ask people to come forward who have any information about Marry L. Kellet. Ask for people who have had been prosecuted by her to come forward with information. For her to see this kind of public action will send a chill down her spine as she wonders and worries who might come forward with negative or incriminating information about her.

Reason being for the changes I suggested. If she has not been charged with a crime, you may find yourself with a charge of defamation and a civil suit to boot. Remember, there is no law against reporting or stating the truth. If you are unsure, then use the word I verily believe or to the best of my knowledge I believe…. One of or our fellow senior advocates, Robert T. McQuiad is in the middle of defending a lawsuit for $500k for exposing CAS/CPS and his suit is vexatious and he is extremely careful with what he writes. This is a tactic used to thwart advocacy and exposure of these tyrants.

Just this January, I had someone put a complaint into the Mayor falsely accusing my organization that I stated the Mayor is endorsing my event. A complete lie, but it caused my relationship to be strained with the Mayor. However, I have the senior female security guard on tape and will publicly show that she lied to the Mayor to cause my organization to be put in disrepute. The Mayor’s office is most interested in hearing that tape and the table has been turned in my favour.

We have had Judges order doors locked at a courthouse to stop the public from entering to keep the kangaroo court in secret and out of the public eye. I have been threatened by cops. The founder of Canada Court Watch, Vernon Beck has been brought to court on a motion by a lawyer he exposed to hold him accountable. Vern self represented won the motion. We don’t want to be bogged down by this kind of stuff. Remember our adversaries are well funded, we are not and must be careful not to get caught in their web.

Some of our advocates have intentionally spent 30 days in prison in protest and in contempt of the judicial system. We have people like that and may end up with such folks that want to make that stand, but only by their free will and accord. I would advise against drawing any unnecessary heat.

I would add at the bottom in fine print. E & OE (errors and omissions excluded), All rights reserved and copyright protected. These are just some tips to protect your bacon and your rights.

I would also change shit-house rat to: CAUTION! Crazy as a rabid dog or Crazy as a cornered rat… I would stay away from any profanity as we would want these posters to be placed in any public building where we are entitled to do so, even at the Town Hall for example. Any profanity will be an excuse why they will disallow it’s placement or why they will be removed.

In my view and my experience, we don’t want to be seen as unrefined vagabonds, but rather as professional and well organized.

I am excited seeing the joint effort of so many men and women who are coming together in a cumulative effort to do good and in this case to stop a serious injustice in Maine.

  30. That looks great John! I would only change the Original Charge to Charges sought or Seeking charges or maybe Charges pending as she has not been charged with the crimes we believe she has committed.

I know this takes a lot of work and is much appreciated. That is one killer poster! I feel like putting some out here in Newmarket, Ontario just to let people know what is going on with our friends south of the border. I think this should make not only national, but global news.

    Just something that popped into my head. What do you think about the headline saying;

    Most Wanted – (same text)
    for – (smaller text)
Gross Perversion of Justice – (smaller text)

That may better catch the attention of those who glance at it and will draw them in to read more.

      • That is brilliant John! I like this poster a lot. Well done. It could be used as a template for future fugitives who we the public need to pursue to expose and prosecute in the court of public opinion and even within the judicial system as warranted.

With yours and Paul’s permission I will immediately circulate this wanted poster amongst all my connections including F4J in Canada, the USA and England. I will also print off no less than 500 flyers to pass out in Newmarket and Toronto, Ontario, Canada as well as forwarding this to all my media contacts.

This information must get out to as many people on earth as possible. I would like to see it go viral.

  32. To POD,

I’ve beendoing some “retrospecting”. You are right, feminism has done more harm to men than women. I retract my earlier statement. Hurts women, yes. Hurts men more.

    • Women have been duped, men have been hurt by feminism the most. Feminism must go as it offers nothing good for the whole of society equally. Feminism is a lethal wedge designed to unfairly empower women and hurt men. How can any normal society embrace such a wanton reckless attack on its citizens tearing deep into our once enjoyed harmony between men and women.

Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0
  33. Stu

Thing about feminism hurting women is that the cost of combating a lot of that hurt is also passed on to men. Feminism allows and encourages women to fuck up their lives with stupid choices under the banner of empowerment, then when they have trashed their lives, demand that men, either directly, or via the state, pay to prop them up. Indeed women end up worse off by never learning to be responsible, accountable, and being protected like children, but men end up double worse off.

The interesting thing about the Duke case & Michael Nifong’s legacy is also in keeping with the majority of the topics that’ve been discussed recently. The accuser, Crystal Mangum, was charged with attempted murder not even 2 months ago: http://abcnews.go.com/TheLaw/duke-lacrosse-rape-accuser-charged-attempted-murder/story?id=9873093

I can’t for the life of me recall hearing anybody broached the possibility of such a scenario…..
    Maybe it’ll come to me….
