VERMONT UNIVERSITY WOMEN’S AND GENDER STUDIES FOCUS ON THE TRANSGENDERED WHILE IGNORING MEN
Futher evidence, if any is needed, that the voice for men has been muted, at least in reference to “gender studies,” comes from the University of Vermont.
That state supported institution announced that beginning with this fall term it has added a visiting lecturer who will supplement its existing academic offerings in Women’s and Gender Studies with a course on “Trans/gender Identities, Communities, and Politics” which the new faculty member said “focuses on the ways in which trans people negotiation (sic) their identities across a variety of social situations, from bathroom use to clothes shopping and international air travel.”
Despite the fact that the academic program’s name includes the word “gender”, which Webster’s Dictionary defines as meaning “a set of two or more categories , as masculine, feminine, and neuter,” there is no reference to anything masculine –men, males or boys–in descriptions of its 30 plus courses. The absence of references to males whose sex is determined by the presence of XY chromosomes and who constitute 50 plus percentage of the world’s population is particularly interesting when contrasted with the transgendered population estimates which range from .01 per cent to .001 (or for those of us who are decimally challenged, the range is from one in 10,000 to one in 100,000).
Dick Elfenbein is a veteran journalist, communications professional and former university professor. He taught communications and public relations at the Rutgers University Graduate School of Business and Fairleigh Dickinson University. He began his journalism career with the Bergen Record of Hackensack, NJ and was a reporter and copy editor for Fairchild Publications before joining the The Voice of America during the cold war era and moving on to NBC Radio News as a writer/editor. Later, he was a communications executive with IBM and for more than two decades a consultant to major domestic and foreign corporations. He is currently the chair of a New York City not for profit educational foundation and research director and board member of the Foundation for Male Studies.

I lived in Vermont from 1999 to 2004…very liberal there. Women there typically are feminists. And don’t tell them you are a Republican. I still keep in touch with one women from Vermont. One time I mentioned mens rights to her and she laughed . They live in a fish bowl there.

Shocking!! (please pardon my sarcasm.) Whole forests have been cut down to create feminist books and Women’s Studies course materials on the importance of guaranteeing “parental rights” to lesbian ex-partners of biological mothers whilst father’s rights are denigrated as “abuser’s rights,” and yet another way for the “patriarchy” to control women (all while saying that women don’t belong in the home raising children but children belong with women anyway.) In most cases, the name Gender Studies is little more than lipstick on the raging-misandrist pig of “Women’s Studies.” Even where the curricula has been significantly expanded it’s still a misnomer for what should be called Women’s and homosexual studies. The idea of extreme inclusion for the ideologues who run and teach in these propagandizing, politically motivated parts of our public universities is to allow for courses that discuss gay men (which actually is a huge step forward for them.)

I have been amazed at the frenetic pace of research on all things gay among male psychologists and their complete disinterest in anything white males other than blame and shame. Good article and welcome Dick.

This is the latest installment of feminist Newspeak. I’ve seen this at other Universities where they have simply re-labled women’s studies as gender studies and thrown in a few arbitrary courses about the male gender. If it’s not “women’s studies” then they can pretend that they’re not biased or feminist. A quick review of course descriptions is quite revealing that “gender studies” doesn’t really include men.
Prominent feminist DV researcher Peter Jaffe is currently in the Education department at UWO, yet he has spent his entire career in women’s studies and studying violence against women

A Man Never Votes for a Cunt!Fall elections are coming up rapidly. Lying political ads dominate TV time. Their ads are long on emotional appeal and very short on anything resembling rational thought. Incumbents pretend to serve the local needs despite having ignored the people of their state and district. Our local Senatrix, Patti Murray, claims to “believe in” helping people but of course she hasn’t done any of it during her last term. The only thing she has actually done was to co-sponsor the VAWA, anti-family hate legislation. Men never vote for any cunt.
Women’s place is in the home, the private sphere, taking care of a man’s home and family. Recent research has demonstrated some of the differences between men and women that everyone has known intuitively since thought became rational. Men have larger brains and are more intelligent. A man’s brain is something like 20% larger on average than a woman’s brain. Most of the extra size of a man’s brain is in his gray matter, the frontal part of the brain that is used for reasoning and rational thought. Large scale analysis of college entrance test results show that an average man is about 4% more intelligent than the average woman. Well, some might argue, that doesn’t mean that an exceptional female won’t be as smarter as an average man. If you could be sure that you only selected exceptionally intelligent females and were unable to select exceptionally intelligent man that argument would hold. Chances are that the person selected for political office will be somewhat more intelligent than average for his or her sex, and hence the MAN will probably be smarter than the female candidate.
Women’s place is in the home, the private sphere, taking care of a man’s home and family. Not only are female’s less intelligent on average than men, but they are driven more by emotions than reason. A wealth of scientific research has shown that the most active parts of female brains are the parts devoted to feelings. Female writing, novels, books, school essays, and all female literature focuses on feelings. Females avoid discussions or thoughts about reasoning because their brains aren’t good at it. Females are good at noticing how a baby is feeling, but very poor at reasoning out the economic systems that will provide an economic base to support all the babies. Men understand economics and power, the primary functions of government.
Women’s place is in the home, the private sphere, taking care of a man’s home and family. Females do not understand and are unwilling to participate in war or power politics on an international level. The classic female response to war is to lie down and fuck whichever MAN wins. If the Nazi, Arabs, Huns, Romans, Tutsies, English, or space aliens win the next war it won’t matter to the female mind. If they kill her father, brother, and husband it won’t matter to the female mind. She is happy opening her legs and breeding with a winner. Her dead father, brother, and husband were losers anyway. She is afraid, cowering, and unwilling to assert and protect the place of her nation, state, or even family. She can not be counted upon to take decisive action to save our nation when attacked.
Women’s place is in the home, the private sphere, taking care of a man’s home and family. Those who are excepted from military combat have no standing to make decision to send soldiers into war. Females in the military are excluded from combat assignments. Female officers have no moral right to order troops into battle while being excepted from the risks of war. Throughout history the King was expected to be at the front lines of battle, earning honor among MEN. The King earns the right to govern by his honor and willingness to fight for his people. No cunt ever has taken that responsibility, they fuck the winners. They have no moral standing to rule.

The whores have been camp followers, prostitutes, entertainers, and courtesans. Often the whores were educated as men were learning poetry, literature, and could discuss philosophy with men. Wives learned home economics and took on the responsibly for running an efficient home and family. Feminism has turned virtually all young women into whores, sent them to schools to learn the literature and arts of courtesans instead of to our homes and families. Fathers today send their daughters to colleges instead of into the home of a good husband. Whores running for office are offensive to the moral decency of men.

Men are conditioned by a million years of evolution to take care of and protect our wives and families, to take care of our tribes and nations. Women, on the other hand, are conditioned by evolution to look out for themselves, to accept the protection of men as if its their rightful position. Females don’t know how to protect and care for their village, tribe, or nation. When females get elected to public office they create greater and greater benefits for women and make more restrictive laws to hurt men and destroy our lives. Their inbred resentment of the strength of men and feminist hatred of men drives their votes. Selfish narcissistic females make the worst kind of representatives.

She is from the party that I would otherwise support, but a MAN from the other party is far better than a cunt from my party. And we aren’t fools. Both parties pander to misandrist female voters. Female suffrage was the worst mistake of the past century. Female suffrage in Germany led to W.W. II. In America female suffrage has destroyed families and hurt millions of children. It leaves our nation vulnerable to attack by anyone with balls. Our congresscunts and their mangina lackeys haven’t the balls to oppose anyone.

She will not represent the MEN of her district and she will hurt you, your brothers, and your family.

Back on topic. The change of women’s studies to gender studies is a pre-emptive move to derail the implementation of men’s studies. The argument against men’s studies will simply be…we already have gender studies, we don’t need men’s studies.
I’m not familiar with Bobsblog or the relevance of that posting to it with respect to Dick’s article on gender studies, but I gotta call a turd a turd here. It’s late and I’m not inclined to do the research but it looks like a post by a feminist trying to make a misogynist straw man of MRA’s so they can paint us all with the same brush. Senator Patti Murray doesn’t sound like someone I’d vote for.. but neither does Bob. Frankly, if a woman stands for the principles I believe in she can count on my vote any day. I know a number of women that I’d love to see running for office. Women are uniquely well-suited to speak out against the misandry that pervades our society. It’s hard to pigeon-hole a woman as anti-women after all.

Thank you for keeping things on target and not letting them get derailed, and you are precisely correct. The recent trend to rename Women’s Studies programs as Gender Studies is at least in part to claim hegemony over the study of all sex and gender. They have changed the name in many colleges despite the fact that the course work has not changed one bit. It is all about women, gays and transgendered.
Men do not exist.

Hi. This is my first time posting. I agree with Denis that feminists are merely renaming women’s studies in order to carefully contain and control (what they perceive to be) an unruly men’s movement. This happens when they say such things as “patriarchy hurts men” and “being ‘manly’ hurts little boys.” By speaking for us, feminists silence us. Let’s not be their puppets. Let’s speak for ourselves.

A ventriloquist analogy works well here too. When feminists speak for men, the puppet (men’s movement) appears to be talking, but the ventriloquist (feminist movement) is in control.
