“The View” Makeup Assistant Calls Lorena Bobbitt Her “best friend” On Whoopi Goldberg Webseries

Karen Dupiche, Emmy Award winning makeup artist on ABC’s morning panel talk show “The View,” called Lorena Bobbitt her “best friend,” stating that she “loved it” when Bobbitt mutilated her husband John, in a rollicking, two minute installment of Goldberg’s new webseries, “Rollin’ With Whoopi.”

The Bobbitts made international news in 1994 when wife Lorena severed husband John’s penis and threw it in a field. Both became quasi-celebrities, as John had his organ re-attached and performed in a adult videos, and Lorena was fêted on talk shows and hailed as a hero by many women and feminists.

Dupiche, who has done makeup for such luminaries as Glen Close, Steve Harvey, and Bonnie Raitt, and is now Elizabeth Hasselback’s personal MUA on “FOX & Friends,” went on to describe with alacrity how she would have rectified Bobbitt’s mistake of throwing the severed organ in a field. Instead, Dupiche suggests she would have thrown it “on Main Street,” “South Orange Avenue,” and “Central Avenue.”

Goldberg chimed in that she would have threw it in the ocean. Dupiche agreed, chirping she also would have “mailed it to (John Bobbitt’s) grandmother and sister in pieces.”

Hairstylist Yancey Edwards followed up that with a crack about the severed penis’ size, saying “it wasn’t THAT big.”

Her official website describes Dupiche as having “the ability to capture any audience with a captivating personality that sparks excitement on national and international television and radio.”

The video begins with Dupiche inquiring, “if a woman kills her husband, we’re going to jail.” Goldberg, who once challenged Joe Biden on violent women, pointed out “not as often as men.”

This is not the first time lighthearted remarks about mutilated men were made on a women’s talk show. In 2011, Sharon Osbourne of CBS’s “The Talk” referred to the attack on John Becker as “quite fabulous.” Becker’s wife, Catherine Kieu Becker, severed his penis as he slept and destroyed it in a garbage disposal.

The View, in its 16th season, is executive produced by BarWall Productions, owned by Barbara Walters and Bill Geddie, Executive Producers of the show.

At times Whoopi seems like she really gets it on these issues, and other times, she’s just a clueless, cruel person. Ah well.

    • Daniel

cruel is flattering her, she’s just a clueless moron.

    • earth one

I agree with you on this – WG has always seemed to be at least somewhat credible to me, but this is really sad – while she comes across as someone who knows how to ‘stand up’ to hypocrisy, her participation in this is pretty low. I guess it’s to be expected, however disappointing – these people are celebrities – their living is made by being attention whores.

  • OldandNavy

They talk like that because they know they can get away with it. It’s not the right thing to do but they don’t care.

I don’t view our listen to anything that Ms. Goldberg does because I already think so little of her.

To think that one could purchase children’s books narrated by this filth! It would be like buying mother goose narrated by Kim Jung Il.

I vote with my wallet and won’t have one red cent of my earned dollars land in her sweaty, narcissistic, vile pocket.

What we have to remember about Whoopi Goldberg, she is not a real person. She’s an entertainer and comedian, a Hollywood product, a creative package designed to appeal to a certain demographic: Black women, non-black women, and black men, in that order. I mean, she has a Jewish surname for chrissake.

    • Sports Droppings

WHOA! Leave black men off the list, please.

    • Seele

That’s just a stage name: “Karen Johnson” somehow is not quite as effect in getting people to remember.

  • Doug Hart

If you said whoopee could get her tit in a wringer for making those remarks it would have resulted in a media tsunami of biblical proportions.

  • Lucian Vâlsan

What a cunt! All of them – Whoopi, Karen Dupiche and Bobbit.

  • Clint Carpentier

    Doesn’t happen that often?

Thailand is currently the penis severing capital of the world.

    • Dagda Mór

Yeah I was about to mention that, Thai women are generally a lot of fun but you really have to make sure you’ve got the right one. Feminism hasn’t really made many inroads there either so I’m not sure what that says.

  • Stu

We all know what would happen to male employees who sat around advocating, celebrating violence against women.

    • TarnishedSophia

Stu, you couldn’t be more correct. When I wrote about the Kieu case months ago, I did some further research on various news websites that were comparing it to the Bobbitt case. Gods almighty…the comments sections were absolutely atrocious. Women talking about how “he must have deserved it” or “see girls, we DO have power”. The worst part might have been when it came to light that Kieu was claiming to have been sexually abused when she was younger…and these commenters were saying “well that explains it, no wonder she cut off his penis, she needs help not incarceration”.

What the hell? Being abused as a child is horrible, I should know. But it does not give you an “out” on morality or legal issues. You are well within your right to hate your abuser…you are not within any right to hate or harm people who share traits with your abuser. Can you imagine an adult MALE abuse victim who drugs his wife’s food, ties her to the bed, shaves off her labia and clit, then chops it up in the garbage disposal or throws them into a field…and he gets a light sentence with a chance for early release with “good behavior” just because he says he was abused as a child?

I know I can’t. In fact, admitting he was abused would probably add more time onto his “rehabilitation”. Gods, our justice system is an utter joke. You go, grrls…keep posting comments that prove you are purveyors of misandry. Keep making sexist opinions and letting people watch them on YouTube. Keep showing that it’s “cool” to hate anyone who happens to be male-bodied. Eventually enough people with actual moral compasses will call you out as the monsters you are.

      • Kimski

“But it does not give you an “out” on morality or legal issues.”

It is not about looking for an excuse for doing it.
It is actively looking for a reason to do it.

“Female sexuality, according to early Freudian theory, is exactly the same as male sexuality up until the phallic stage of psychosexual development; since women don’t have a penis, however, they experience penis envy, which is the jealousy little girls feel towards boys and the resentment towards their mothers (whom they blame for not having a penis).”

        • Whothehell Cares

Freud was a fuckwit, who thought *everything* was about sex.

Sure, it’s a prime motivator, but it ain’t the be all of it all.

      • Stu

Yep, and what all the NAWALT will not grasp is that most women are like that. And the ones who aren’t, mostly remain silent and will have to pay along with everybody else when this idiocracy finally collapses under the weight of misandry. And it surely will. When a blind man can finally see that there is no point appeasing anymore, and in fact, that is what got us into this mess, and while continue to make this worse……..then there will be hell to pay.

Goldberg and the other dogs in that car are the scum of the Earth. Goldberg has never been a lover of men. She is as much a feminist harridan as Clinton and her ilk. I have heard many times, man hating vomit issue from that ugly mouth and I don’t have any respect for her at all.

If it’s such a joke hearing about penises being cut off, how about we start cutting tits off or maybe a big chunk of labia and clitoris, then shove it down the disposal unit, or throw it out in the street, or even toss it into the ocean. I’m sure Goldberg and all the other laughing Hyenas will be okay with that. I’m sure they will find it very funny and even okay if we men start laughing about it and making jokes about it.

Oh what a laugh, to see this happen to a woman. Hehehehehe, hahahahhaha!

Give me a break you cockroach morons! (sorry Cockroaches, I didn’t mean to slander you!)

Dysclaimer: For the morons who might think I am advocating cutting off female bits, it is plainly obvious I am not. I’m only putting this in to protect this site from feminist trolls. Otherwise I would never explain myself to anyone.

    • mike gibbs

      AMEN brother…

  • http://menaregood.com/ Tom Golden

She started off pretty well in pointing out that women get away with killing men but then revealed the depth of her own stupidity by stating that this was due to men being stupid. Then all of the jokes and laughs at the expense of someone who was mutilated. Like The View and like most people in our culture, these people lack even an ounce of compassion for men’s suffering. How can anyone not see this clearly? The reason is they are all asleep in their hatred not unlike the way southern whites were asleep in the 1950’s. FTSU.

    • Fatherless

Not just SOUTHERN whites, but an excellent point nonetheless.

  • donzaloog

That was disgusting display. What irritates me the most is that if a group of men had a conversation like this and put it online, the world would call for their heads. Fire them, ruin their lives.

How about some female genital mutilation jokes? I’m sure Whoopi and her friends would find that hilarious. And what about Whoopi’s stupid generalizations that men like to take things apart. I can think of a few female killers who cut up their male victims. Do a quick google search and see what you get. I feel the need for a public apology for this shit.

  • ThirdOfOctober

Do we really expect better from a woman who said that it wasn’t “rape rape” when Roman Polanski drugged and raped a minor?

Just act, Whoopi. We don’t want your opinions.

    • Stu

I don’t know why anybody listens to entertainers opinions anyway. Oh, wait, yes, I do know why……we live in an idiocracy, that is why.

      • ThirdOfOctober

And the opposite of this are those who style themselves as our “know betters”, who, they will insist, only have our best interests in mind as we’re told how to do everything in our lives – from A to Z.

Hard to tell which one is worse.

  • Estlin

When I get see articles like this, I’m reminded of the gift I gave myself of getting rid of television at an early age. This nonsense would be beneath contempt, were it not broadcast so widely.

  • Xbillion

Whoopi Goldberg has never said anything funny. Her name sort of sounds funny (if you’re 4) and she is goofy. Why she is famous and or that we should give a crap about her mediocre opinions, I’m not sure- other than to point out what assholes typical American women in fact are when it comes to the suffering of men. At this point she seems to be a token for the so-called “View”. They don’t see far and certainly not past themselves.

  • brmerrick

I was a big Whoopie Goldberg fan for many years. Her debut was The Color Purple, which was my favorite film for well over a decade. But her attitude doesn’t surprise me now, because none of the women (or even the men, apparently) involved in the making of her (and Oprah’s) film debut could see how horribly it displayed every single major male character. It took me years to see it as well: “Girl, you oughta bash Mr.’s head open and think about heaven later!”

What makes it even sadder is that it is so beautiful on the surface. The skies are painted a brilliant blue, thanks to a male cinematographer. The musical soundtrack is unbeatable, taking influence from European, African, and American musical genres, thanks to a male composer. The dialogue is a seemingly beautiful narrative, thanks to a male writer. And, of course, everyone knows who directed it: another man.

This man-hating film (especially black men) was nominated for 11 Oscars. The majority of people who worked on this film to make it so “great” were male, and what thanks do they get? Goldberg repeating Sharon Osbourne’s folly.

You can do anything you want with and to males, ladies. We are literally at your disposal.

…At least, until a majority of males wake the fuck up. Took me more than ten years.
