All that needs to be said about War Machine and The Young Turks

So it’s happened again: Some violent psychotic does something violent and psychotic, and Men’s Rights Activists are supposedly to blame. Because potato.

This time it’s a crazed violent psychotic with some fame in  the competitive Mixed Martial Arts community, who spent time in prison some years ago for horrifically violent acts, and while in prison wrote some crap on a blog, some of which sounded vaguely like some of the things Men’s Rights Activists say. The same guy recently was charged with another violent and inexcusable assault, and he is now being held up as a Men’s Rights Activist, even though he never self-identified as one that we’re aware of, and most in our community had never heard of him before someone brought him to our attention.

But let’s play a little game here: Who said this?

The conservatives are just taking the average man for a sucker, exploiting his resentment of Big Government to promote the power of Big Business.

  1. Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren
  2. Sam Seder of Majority Report
  3. Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks
  4. A murdering terrorist

Also, who said this?

Leftists tend to hate anything that has an image of being strong, good and successful.

  1. Libertarian icon Ayn Rand
  2. Intellectual conservative pundit George Will
  3. Conservative firebrand Ann Coulter
  4. A murdering terrorist

If you guessed “4” in both cases you would not only be correct, you’d be talking about the same murdering terrorist. In fact, he’s still alive and in U.S. Federal prison right now. I’ll leave it as an exercise for the reader to figure out which proud murdering terrorist said both those things, but if you give up I’ll relent and tell you.

The Young Turks recently said so many stupid things in the space of a few minutes about a violent psychotic nutjob that they tried to tie to us, we weren’t even going to respond, but Doctor Randomercam  wound up doing such a good job, we decided to share:

With that, we can only add a few more things: C’mon, Cenk and Ana, you can do better than this. We know the industry you’re in is shallow, but holy cow, you can’t actually talk to any Men’s Rights Activists before smearing us with a scumbag like Jonathan Koppenhaver? Hey, we notice Elliot Rodger was a fan of The Young Turks–his YouTube channel shows he followed you, after all. So let’s play the “Who said this?” game again. Who said this?

To be angry about the injustices one faces is a sign of strength. It is a sign that one has the will to fight back against those injustices, rather than bowing down and accepting it as fate.

  1. Elliot Rodger
  2. Cenk Uygur

You’ve said a lot of things about fighting injustice, Cenk, both in the United States and abroad. So you might want to double-check to be sure. Think twice before answering. Without looking, are you sure of your answer?

Are you really sure?
