When you talk about these interpretations of law, I can't help but think you're applying american law to canadian law. I'm not saying that we shouldn't change the law, but right now - men are not a special group, and every other class of people are special groups. Canada's law seems to protect this and that special group, and that means MRA have to work to either also be listed as a special group (and thus nobody is special) or break down all special groups

Also no orders of protection on the basis of "fears" when the husband has no history of violence, especially when there's an obvious custody battle reason for her to lie.

VAWA should be changed by :

1)	Not issuing orders of protection when the wife or cohabiting female doesn’t want one;

2)	Not prosecuting and promptly dropping cases involving alleged minor assault not amounting to felony assault when the wife doesn’t want it;

3)	Decriminalizing entirely and issuing of no orders of protection for no or very light injury slapping, grabbing an arm to prevent a slap from her even if it causes some bruising as she struggles to free it in her anger (the recently SF Sheriff case), and so on, even if the wife does want that to go forward in such cases.

Every time I hear the word 'Patriarchy' coming out of the mouth of a self-proclaimed feminist, I just exchange it with 'UFO'.

It adds a much more realistic and interesting perspective to the whole discussion, as well as the person I'm talking to.

I wrote about this before and it pisses me off too. The good news, for my own son, if not myself, is that I was able to keep the butchers off of his penis. I caught Hell from all sides, even my wife (who has since reconsidered and readjusted many of her old thought processes). I stuck to my guns and am happy to report that there were no "scary" or "unhealthy" after affects from not cutting off the end of his genitals, of course.

He is perfectly healthy and happy and he too has NO memory of his junk being mutillated, but for the RIGHT reasons.
I have made it my life's work to do what I can to help keep their butcher knives off our sons!

Studies have shown time and time again, the safest place for a woman, is with a man.

Feminists HATE those studies.

Excellent article.

The same thing happens with humans in my experience. I know we're not supposed to talk about these sort of things but growing up in NY there was street violence but when I moved to St. Louis for school I saw a different side.

In St. Louis the violence was 16 year olds with guns who would shoot you just because they could.

The university I attended had a mortality rate.

The reason, most people felt was that in NY organized crime kept kids with guns off the street. If the street got too hot, the crime bosses lose money.

In St. Louis there was no older grown men in control, these were kids from the slums with single mothers.

I felt much less safe in St. Louis than I ever did in NY. One of the Chevy Chase Vacation movies featured this side of St. Louis.

We are not so different than other mammals, we just think we are...I suppose we are big headed...lol.
