Women: 50% would lie about paternity while 42% would lie about being on birth control

While feminists and their supporters claim we don’t need a men’s rights movement, the following poll that questioned 5,000 women, average age 38, across Scotland, England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, suggests otherwise.

The poll—a survey on attitudes to truth and relationships—has found that 19 out of 20 women admit lying to their partners or husbands.

Eighty-three percent owned up to telling “big, life-changing lies,” with 13 percent saying they did so frequently.

Half said that if they became pregnant by another man but wanted to stay with their partner, they would lie about the baby’s real father.

Forty-two percent would lie about contraception in order to get pregnant, no matter the wishes of their partner.

And an alarming 31 percent said they would not tell a future partner if they had a sexual disease: this rises to 65 percent among single women.

    While I don’t greatly doubt these numbers, I suggest that your sources might need sources. Whole lot of cross pollination and misleading re framing that I’m only used to seeing on the most ideological “news” sites.

      This is like that exercise where you have one person who always tells the truth and one person who always tells a lie. And you dont know which is which, so have to use a third person question to actually get at the truth.

      Except its easy if you know which one is the feminist, than you know who is the liar.

    Yup, and many women still consider men to be sexual disease carrying penis monsters. That statistic is really alarming. STD’s are serious life changing diseases, for 65% of single women NOT telling their partner that they have a STD is not just immoral, it’s illegal in some countries and states. Guess who gets prosecuted for the crime? It ain’t the person with a vagina.

    All I can say is that by the end of my first marriage I couldn’t have told you the shenanigans my wife was up to if I had a crystal ball. So when she started leaning on me to get a vasectomy I jumped on the proposition with both feet. Turns out she was banging our neighbor and gave me the clap to boot.

    LOL. That’s Life! magazine is a satirical, National Enquirer-like British rag aimed at young working class women. Nothing it prints is meant to be taken seriously. British people love parody. They love parody that claims it’s serious. They love parody that’s serious while claiming that it isn’t. Britain is the land of Punch, Private Eye, Monty Python, Benny Hill, Absolutely Fabulous and Mitchell & Webb. Do some YouTubing if you want to see what I mean.

    A previous That’s Life! “survey” claimed these were the top ten lies British women told:

    1. Of course you don’t look fat!
    2. These shoes were only 10 [pounds].
    3. The bus/train was late.
    4. I’ve got a headache.
    5. I’ve only had one drink.
    6. That dress looks good on you.
    7. The cheque’s in the post.
    8. You look ten years younger.
    9. You’re wonderful in bed.
    10. I love you.

    It made young British working class women laugh. Just like the “survey” mentioned previously. Dunno if “The Scotsman” was in on the joke, or was as clueless as those getting their shorts in a wad about it here.

        And it takes half of all victims being too ashamed to admit what happened, and the entire population of victims doubles.

        There is no evidence that false claims of rape are any more prevalent than false claims of any other crime. So there’s no reason to claim women who claim being raped are lying any more than women who claim somebody stole their newspaper are lying.

        Except that it doesn’t reinforce a certain meme to claim stolen newspaper claims are mostly false.

            Um, creating a website to showcase your screeds does not make then “substantiated”. That’s the Dick Cheney method of manufacturing evidence. Get your accusations published, or in your case just publish them yourself, then point to the fact they are published as evidence they are true.

            FBI statistics have for decades consistently found that less than 8% of rape claims are UNFOUNDED. Note that “unfounded” means the police were unable to find sufficient material evidence to charge a suspect. That doesn’t make an “unfounded” claim false. False rape claims are a subset of unfounded rape claims. That means more than 92% of rape claims are both true and supported by evidence.

            FBI statistics also consistently show at least half of rapes are never reported, making the relative number of false rape claims to actual rapes even smaller. No more than 4%, in fact.

            You see, Harry, bile is not evidence, and angry guys generally aren’t good sources of objective statistics. They’re too busy being angry to fact check.

            For the record, the closest you “I was framed” guys get to having a point is when you make the observation that, legally, a woman can be too drunk to consent to sex, but a man can’t be too drunk to forget not to rape somebody. But even that goes up in rhetorical flames when it’s countered with the observation that, if that claim is accepted as a defense, then drunk drivers will walk too, no matter how many people they kill. “I was too drunk to be held criminally liable for my actions” will never be an allowed defense for just that reason.

            In conclusion, the PUA-inspired dream of a legal bright line between “seduction” and “rape” isn’t going to come true, nor is the law going to be rewritten so that rape victims are uniquely burdened by a requirement that they provide sufficient evidence to substantiate their claims or face prosecution themselves. They’re already uniquely burdened enough by being subjected to the institutionalized skepticism of police and prosecutors.

            And that’s no matter how angry you get.

If a crime is never reported, and the FBI uses reports of crimes to gather their statistics, they could never know what percentage of said crimes go unreported.

This logic can easily be turned around to say that a woman, who has been drinking, is just as culpable for her actions as a driver who has been drinking. So, if she chooses to have sex, she is just as responsible for that action as she is if she chooses to drive. In which case, no rape has been committed.
            You paint a scenario where the man has been drinking, and then claims that this absolves him of responsibility if he rapes someone. Nice strawman. I have never seen anyone make such an argument. I have, however, seen them ask how a man is guilty of raping a woman, if they both have been drinking, and they then have sex. How is it that she has not raped him?

            Taken to the other extreme, how is she not guilty of rape, if they have sex, and only he is drunk?
            Those “rhetorical flames” that you mentioned are incinerating your entire line of reasoning.

          • Survey results are particularly useless as “evidence” unless you know what questions were asked.

        Agreed TDP. The male birth control pill could eliminate accidental and deliberate pregnancies by giving men a controlling vote. It would be amazing to see single motherhood, teen motherhood and the welfare state diminished by preventing pregnancy with another choice to join abstinence and male contraception.

        I am wonder if Cupcake and the radical feminists would support a male birth control pill?

    Well when a woman accuses a man who has had a vasectomy of knocking her up. I can only imagine the depths women will stoop to.

    And isn’t it also ironic that in order to have a vasectomy requires a woman’s signature. So not only do women demand control of their own reproductive rights. But somehow they have to approve of us making a decision regarding our own.
