Maribeth Chitkara MD, of Stony Brook (NY) Children’s Hospital, “Known Genital Mutilator”

ChitkaraMaribeth Chitkara MD has been placed on the “Known Genital Mutilators” directory at neonatalcutting.org.

From the Stony Brook Medicine website we see SBU’s President Stanley lauding the hospital’s latest efforts to further medical excellence. Stanley poses with others to promote it’s flu-shot program, efforts against muscular dystrophy, breast cancer, the Zika virus, and finally it’s mindfulness and diversity program. But President Stanley, Dr. Chitkara, and others at this hospital are not “mindful” that genital mutilations forced on unconsenting baby boys is a human rights violation, unethical, and illegal.

How sad that supposed civilized and modern medical professionals don’t make the connection between female genital mutilation and male genital mutilation and realize that these procedures are medically unnecessary, risky, and unethical. While strides are being made in some areas of medicine, the hideous reality is that doctors like Chitkara are sexually, physically, and mentally abusing infants under the same roof.

Under “Hospitalists, Our Team” we read about Dr. Chitkara’s education and specialties:

Education:

Medical School, Georgetown University School of Medicine
Residency, Children’s Natl. Medical Ctr., Pediatrics
Fellowship, Montefiore Medical Center, Pediatric Infectious Disease

Medical Conditions/Treatments:

Circumcision
Hospitalist
Inpatient Hospital Medicine

The “treatment” called circumcision treats no condition and cures no disease.

Under “Pediatric Hospitalists, Services,” we read:

Stony Brook’s pediatric hospitalists provide care for children from infancy through adolescence with diagnoses ranging from gastroenteritis to meningitis to respiratory illnesses. The hospitalists also treat patients whose illness is complicated by an underlying medical condition such as a previous brain injury or genetic disorder.

Their clinical interests include complex chronic care, inpatient hospital medicine, inpatient newborn care, and medically complex children. They also perform newborn circumcisions.

Wow, you’d think all those diagnoses, illnesses, medical conditions, injuries, and disorders would keep them busy and righteous, but they also “treat” non-conditions, like ‘penis with foreskin’ with risky surgery for no medical reason, making them unethical medical practitioners.

Since Dr. Chitkara has no information about the risks of circumcision, you can read that here at neonatalcutting.org.
