Hansen named AVFM senior editor

With the continued growth of A Voice for Men, we have been very fortunate to attract talented people from across the globe who want to pitch in and work at the advocacy for men and boys we foster here. Kristina Hansen is one of those individuals. She has been serving as our Canadian News Director for some time now, bringing us relevant and timely analysis and reporting on stories that affect our understanding of the issues.

She has also recently become a sitting board member alongside AVFM News Director Robert O’Hara and others on the African Circumcision Advisory Committee. This committee seeks to promote activism against the current campaign in Sub Saharan Africa to circumcise tens of millions of African men, boys and infants under the highly questionable auspices of AIDS prevention – while also incidentally enriching the lives of the programs major supporters.

Kristina is a direct, outspoken and unapologetic advocate for men and boys who has continually proven her authenticity by rolling up her sleeves and doing the work that so many people won’t.

It is for this reason that I am very proud to announce that I have offered, and she has accepted, the position of Senior Editor at A Voice for Men, a position of great trust. As a senior editor, she is called on to help shape content for the site, develop editorial policy and can speak on behalf of A Voice for Men to media and other sources as an official spokesperson.

Please join me in welcoming Kristina Hansen to this position, and in thanking her for her efforts to make a difference.
