AVfM Radio: VAWA under fire!

As recently reported by SAVE, and editorialized by Phyllis Schlafly, On February 2, the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) passed out of the Senate Judiciary Committee.  That in itself is not remarkable. What is remarkable is that all eight Republicans voted “No” to the current Leahy version of the bill up for consideration.

Schlafly was quick to pronounce that this admittedly thunderous moment was an indication that Washington Republicans were “no longer intimidated by feminist demands.”

And she might be right. The typical leftist suspects are losing their minds. Both CNN and Huffpo are so bent out of shape that they are explicitly calling for the Obama administration to EMPLOY VIOLENCE against Republicans.

If Schlafly is correct, then we can start icing down the champagne, because if either party really qualifies as being henceforth unfriendly to feminist governance we’re gonna throw a shindig, the likes of which has not been seen since, well, since people started throwing shindigs.

But don’t get out your party poppers just yet.

It is clear that this is a big one. Bigger than big. A straight party line vote against the feminist owned VAWA behemoth is a monstrosity of a change in the status quo, no matter what the reasons. But just like we do with everything else around here, we are going to dig through the politics and other poop and put some red pill analysis on the matter.

We are doing our homework, folks. This ought to mean a very interesting episode of AVfM Radio. So be sure to tune in for yours truly, along with co-host JTO as we gladly sort out why eight politicians said no to the biggest, most invasive and important piece of feminist legislation ever passed.

Hell, this show is so special we got a doctor there, just to take your phone calls. And that ain’t no campaign promise.  Tonight folks. Be there.

  1. For flaming heck’s sake Paul (I can swear worse you know?) you are messing with our minds.

You are no doubt aware for a fact that some of us had stuff to do at the broadcast time.

You know.. like mowing grass and shopping for things and sitting behind desks tapping away on keyboards.

Everything was going just great as our plans were set.

The you come along with your champagne and your bloody VAWA going wobbly and you bugger up the calendar.

Now I have no choice but to stick my ears to the radio speaker to know more. In doing so I will disappoint members at a social luncheon, my dog wanting a walk, a neighbour wanting to give me my mail and my landlord’s arrival at my door looking for money.

None the less, I will press on as a dedicated listener, reader and occasional contributor to this site.

    • Want to change places, Dr.F.?? -The show broadcasts at 3:05 am over here, and as usual I’ll be there. :)

Congrats, guys. Hopefully you’ll be able to look forward to a shift in your current political line over there.

Being from Vermont, I can promise you Patrick Leahy is a spineless cocksucker (no offense to the gay community…I mean Patrick Leahy simply thrives on sucking dick…and licking fembot pussy).

This should be epic in a truly epic way of epicness!

    • Yeah, that guy is definitely a shitbag
Just llok at all of the bogus legislation out there, and he’s a major proponent of it.
NDAA, PIPA, VAWA, (off the top of my head) this guy has to go…

  3. I remember watching the video of the VAWA hearings that was posted by Keyster. It appeared to me that the GOP was fully in support of the re-authorization with some cost cutting, but that the sticking points were the proposed ammendments and not VAWA itself.

Thumb up 5 Thumb down 0
    • The sticking points were accountability of the funds. Millions of dollars have gone missing and no one can say where.

The GOP has to be VERY careful how they frame their opposition, especially in probably the biggest election year of this country’s history. (Witness how the Komen/PP and Catholic birth control dust ups played out in the media.)

When you mess with Team Woman, you’re not only messing with the female majority of the electorate, but millions of white-knight socons and mangina lefties as well.

If this doesn’t make it through Congress, Obama will probably make it an executive order, BEFORE November.

Considering the deep dark hole their heads are buried in, I think I know where they might find their minds. :-)

      • Scatters, you got a torch ?

I tell you this – How abouts you lead on with the search beam up the canal of proctologist’s interest and I’ll be there with a camera documenting the whole grubby procedure ?

If we find the journey difficult we can go to plan B.

Plan B involves a well stocked medical theater, a bevvy of bosomy nurses and a Benny Hill soundtrack coming from goodness knows where.

Either way, if the fan hits the shit on this one in the MSM we can produce the documents that will prove we were onto these bastard all along.

Plan C involves telling everyone else on the net that the MSM are oblivious to dung flung at them about this issue.

Bah, A, B or C. One of them will work in the long run and we do as best we can do with all these plans anyway eh ?

Holy shit! Are they passing out balls and a spine with every new republican who signs up? Maybe there should be a national drive to turn in your white knight suit for a fine set of brassys with a titanium spine for three easy payments of $99.99. There could be an infomercial.

OMG awesome. Finally politicians bright enough to read scientific evidence suggesting that men are human or may even deserve the sorts of protection offered to animals. Also kind of explains the herd of somewhat crazy women ive seen today.
Love your work America, ask any rebublicans that dont have a seat to contest if they want to come to Australia and teach our liberal party how to step up and play fair.

Venomism is on its side gasping for breath. Keep on FTSU gentlemen and congratulations for waking people up. Kudos to you all!

    I caught the show.
    Thanks – very interesting commentary.
The US economy is flat-lining at best. Cuts have to be made so certain members of the GOP appears to be doing the responsible thing in saying “Where on earth has all the VAWA money been going to?”. It’s a classic case of feminists being held to account – something they loathe.
The next step is for American politicians to advocate for a sensible alternative to the always redundant misandric VAWA – The Violence Against People Act
    (VAPA).
I know I’m preaching to the choir here, this is just to let you know that MRA folks from places other than USA around the globe are like me, right behind you and watching this closely.
That’s because in a lot of cases the USA situation is copied by academics and politicians in other countries. I mean in other countries feminists often site the misandric feminist ‘research’ and laws in USA as precedents to follow as though that’s a good thing.
So I think a lot hinges outside the borders of USA also on defeating the re-instigation of VAWA.
My oh My! I’d dearly love to see a VAWAgate congressional investigation into the whole corrupt edifice to sweep this whole pussy-pass-mangina-white knight shit into the trash can of history.
You folks on air today, made a great start in that direction. Congratulations!

    • Yes, unfortunately the US tends to be a crucible for many bad ideas (derivatives anyone?).

And as little good as a split like this on VAWA does people like me any more, the destruction it has already done is irreversible. Solving a problem like VAWA now for financial or budgetary reasons instead of more than ten years ago for practical and Constitutional ones isn’t cause for much celebration.

That VAWA might be under attack now is only evidence that our economy is so bad that the benefits of VAWA to a fascist regime aren’t great enough any more for it’s support. This isn’t a great development, just predictable.

And for all the worst reasons. Doing something about VAWA now is just evidence that our representatives in Congress (on both sides) are opportunistic malignant narcissists.

If Republicans ever do successfully eliminate VAWA, I’m sure they will come up with something just as bad. Democrats may have invested considerable resources creating laws for political solutions to social problems, but the Republicans have invested consderable resources creating laws for political solutions to everthing else.

The solution to our dilemma is to get legislators on both sides of the ile out of the trough. The less government in our lives the better. I’ve never encountered a problem that the gov’t didn’t make worse.

And, yeah. Remember Thomas Ball who died for our children. Phylis Schlaffly should get the Thomas Ball award.

  11. Listening to the radio broadcast on YouTube right now. I cannot believe my ears. I always imagined Reps being just as bad as Dems with regard to VAWA: “the women must be protected so a man’s 14th Amendment rights must be violated for the greater good.” I’m sure the rage against Reps will just increase ten-fold from here on out. I enjoy watching anyone FTSU.

Be aware it was also Republicans that blocked Harry Reid’s Paycheck Fairness Act from going to a vote in the Senate, (11/2010)–straight across party lines.

    This is a welcome development.

VAWA stands on American soil as a statue of anti-liberty, contrary to the history of the nation. Its a statue that needs to be pulled down in the same spirit as the one of Saddam Hussein was pulled down in Iraq: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Rvi7OCNOn_g/Tz8zF9_WjUI/AAAAAAAAAiM/OvAn4kU6-Lo/s1600/Down%2Bwith%2BVAWA.jpg

Keyster’s report about the missing millions is interesting, lets hope it leads to some kind of femgate scandal.

    • Femgate – love it. Great name.
Time for USA to pull out it’s feminist troops worldwide, just like they pulled out the troops from Iraq methinks.

Feminism is gradually collapsing. The left is employing increasingly aggressive tactics and this administration is their leader. But forces greater than they are against them and are adding up. $100 trillion in unfunded liabilities. 50 million abortions = 50 million less taxpayers to fund an increasing number dependent on the taxpayer. Those that do have children are more often poor or barely lower middle class. The fact is that feminist governance is something Broke USA can no longer afford. Things don’t turn around on a dime however and the problems we have are not easily reversable. The future for many will be poorer, with less opportunity, significantly higher taxation to pay the national debt service, and a more violent and unliveable country. This is bad for all but worse for females. They overplayed their hand by making government their protector and provider and in the process ejecting men from their roles as husbands and fathers. Many of the radical feminists who brought us here, along with the manginas and chivalrists who enabled them, will be long gone when things really get bad. Now would be a good time to tell them that you all will be spitting on their graves when it “hits the fan”. The French Revolution came about because the governments debt service was 60% of the governments budget. This crowded out expenditures for the masses. They revolted and the rest is history. Our debt service will grow exponentially over the next 20+ years. Look for a major debt crises before this decade ends. Look for revolution in about 20-25 years.

  15. Has the tide finally turned ?
Desperation is surfacing and the knifes are out. I am still sceptical and as feminists always like to say “There is more work to be done”. Let’s see how this turns out, I will keep that champagne in the fridge for the time being..

Thumb up 1 Thumb down 0
    • Feminism won’t be “done” until one of two things happen.
      1. Feminism is utterly destroyed and its’ adherents rightfully viewed a hate-mongering slime no better than any racist propganda manufacturing group.
      or,
      2. Enough of society accepts the BS claim of female moral superiority that men can literally be bought, sold, traded in like a used car, whipped, beaten, and killed without question.
Hang on, I can find examples of those already today.
Scratch my prior claim only #1 applies to the end of feminism.

I am late to the party, and I understand the guarded attitude of the “older” MRAs, but I think this signals a big shift in our favor. As I have stated before, in my circle of male coworkers, male family members and both male and female acquaintances there is a definite awareness that the feminists have taken over and that it has to stop. Feminism always contained the seeds of it’s own destruction (attacking the strongest and smartest 50% of the population) and I think it’s just been a surprise how long it’s taken. But I think the day of reckoning is almost at hand.

Feminism has been fully embraced by several generations of females. They have been corrupted. The mass of women who have embraced feminism are just as much to blame as the activists. There may be some women who are on our side-but they are a distinct minority. Only when this mass of feminist-minded women see that there is greater cost to them personally in supporting feminism and more to gain personally (or at least less to lose) by supporting us will they ever change. American women especially, and western women generally, are very much unlike the selfess nature of the American/western male. Men ought never-ever-forget the true parasitic nature of American/western women. Feminism has been a learning experience for men. They are going to lose big time.

VAWA should be changed by :

    1) Not issuing orders of protection when the wife or cohabiting female doesn’t want one;

    2) Not prosecuting and promptly dropping cases involving alleged minor assault not amounting to felony assault when the wife doesn’t want it;

    3) Decriminalizing entirely and issuing of no orders of protection for no or very light injury slapping, grabbing an arm to prevent a slap from her even if it causes some bruising as she struggles to free it in her anger (the recently SF Sheriff case), and so on, even if the wife does want that to go forward in such cases.

Also no orders of protection on the basis of “fears” when the husband has no history of violence, especially when there’s an obvious custody battle reason for her to lie.
