A Voice for Men News is pleased to announce our very own Kristina Hansen (better known as The Wooly Bumblebee) as the latest addition to our news team in the capacity of Canadian News Director. She has shown herself to be a more than competent researcher and writer as well as a passionate Men’s Rights Activist. A resident of Quebec, she will bring a uniquely Canadian perspective on men’s and boys’ issues from a country that is, no doubt, a very important front for those engaged in the Men’s Rights Movement.
In addition to being a regular contributor to A Voice for Men she is also a co-host on AVfM Radio along with John Hembling (aka John The Other) and Karen Straughan (aka Girl Writes What). Our readers can look forward to great news material coming from her pen and we at AVfM are very exited to have her take up this post.

Your math looks off to me but offhand since our view has always been that this is a human rights movement open to anybody who shares our values, the complaint looks odd to me.
There have been experiences with other men’s groups being hijacked by women who wanted to turn it “inclusive” which really resulted in “giving women’s issues equal time” which gradually turned into “mostly about women.”
The men’s movement learned that lesson. We figured out the formula for fixing that: tell women who act like that to get the fuck out. Amazingly, the result is more female support and participation than any men’s advocacy group in history.
But it’s not just the women. We’re people of all creeds and colors and orientations. And you know what? That’s the only thing that’s going to work long term, in our view. So you can expect it not to change much.

There’s a hard core group out there of men’s advocates who are utterly convinced women are the enemy and must always be excluded.
In fairness to some of them, it does come from bad experiences with women coming into male-safe spaces to try to help with men’s issues, only to get their feewings hurt and/or try to make things “inclusive” to the point where it turned into a clusterfuck of gynocentrism and white knighting.
I think we’ve figured out how to fix this, but I get comments of this nature on an almost daily basis over on YouTube. Some of it’s trolling, some of it’s apparently serious. My answer is the same: “if you can do better than what we’re doing, by all means, do it and show us the way. Otherwise we’re going to keep doing what we’re doing, thanks.”
You don’t like that AVFM has become the biggest MRM site in the world, and the most successful, and the most diverse? Have you heard any of the women here say anything that contradicts any of the goals or values of the MRM?
Be cool bro, you ain’t seen nothing yet. These women are the women we wish all women were like. This place is never going to tolerate women firsters, and any efforts to co-opt this movement for any other cause, by men, or women, will result in…..under the bus you go. The future of the MRM is in good hands, for the first time. You’ll see.

As Tawil so eloquently articulated, we are entering the second wave of men’s activism. We are shucking off the dead weight of polemic ideologues and, yes, the ignorant minority of unfortunate individuals that are locked in the fallacious belief that is more about genitalia than issues.
This is what I call cultural shaping. We are molding a culture that embraces the values and principles behind our work. There is no room for a boys club, any more than there is room for feminist ideologues. The only thing this organization will embrace is the truth, regardless of its source.
That, cepheir, is what is happening at AVFM, and there is to be much, much more of it. Thank you for coming here and demonstrating precisely why.

With every ‘gain’ it makes it only leads to more people either realizing that the emperor wears no clothes, or are no longer willing to ignore it.
