Petition to Disbar Kellett to be Hand Delivered to Governors Office, State Attorney General, Others

With a great deal of thanks extended from the Filler family, it is my pleasure to announce that the petition to disbar Mary Kellett, the Bar Harbor, Maine prosecutor whose has maliciously pursued a false allegation of rape against an innocent man, has now reached over 1,000 signatures, and continues to grow.

And of course, for there to be any chance that the signatures will not have been given in vain, we have to make one more push, as activists and as human beings who believe in justice, to send the message of our concern and discontent to the people that matter.

Starting tomorrow morning, Wednesday, May 11th,  at 9:30am, members of a delegation from Stop Abusive and Violent Environments (S.A.V.E.) and family members of the falsely accused in this case, Vladek Filler, will be hand delivering copies of the petition to state officials and making a plea on behalf of Filler, and for an investigation of Kellett leading to her disbarment.

This comes at a critical time. On Thursday, May 12th, there will be a court hearing in the Filler case where multiple motions will be heard. The motions will include a plea for a change of venue in the case, and pleas for outright dismissal.

The itinerary for the in=person visit is as follows, in order.

1. Attorney General William J. Schneider
6 State House Station
Augusta, ME 04333

2. Governor Paul R. LePage
1 State House Station
Augusta, ME 04333

3. State Of Maine Board Of Overseers Of The Bar
97 Winthrop Street
Augusta, ME. 04332

4. State Congress of Maine

5. Maine State Senate

And this is where you come in.

After your strident calls for the media in Maine to start paying attention to what is going on directly under their nose, The Bangor Morning News finally ran an article publicizing concerns over the case.

Following is a list of media outlets that should be covering the delivery of the petitions.  There are no guarantees, but it is possible that with just a minute of your time to send a one or two sentence email with a link to the coverage at The Bangor Daily News to a few of the parties on this list, that you may well convince some of them to cover the event.

Remember people, evil does its business in the dark.  Mary Kellett has been smugly pushing this case with hubris that can only come with imagined impunity.

Whether that impunity is imagined or real, is entirely up to us.

Note: There is no geographic disqualification! The only qualification you need to participate is membership in the human race.

Gentlemen and ladies, start your laptops.
